Ecker is a stickler for proper military protocol. And besides, he and Murphy aren't the best of buddies.

I'm sorry if DE might be one of your buddies here in AlienExpanse? But I just find him to be bit of a repetitive old curmudgeon - real short fuse, and frankly boring? I listened to a couple of archive programmes he appeared on and he just seemed to pile speculation upon speculation, and lots of repeated stories I'd heard before on DarkMatters (Richard Sarradet was good though - and calm!).
DE seemed to have been inactive on the Paracast for quite a while and now bursts back into action - but please not another future appearance on the show!

I am no "buddy" of Don Ecker, as you put it, far from it. I just pointed out the fact that he corrected Murphy on Kevin Randle's military rank. I'm afraid that Ecker is still caught up fighting the Vietnam war all these years later.

Don is a good guy. He knows GS’s character. He keeps him at arms length. Sure he is somewhat stuck in the past but everyone is different.
I have had very positive interactions with him and he isn’t afraid to “calls it as he sees it”. He knows it’s best to keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

DE doesn’t harm anyone as far as I know, you can just ignore him. I agree about the grumpy old man thing, but I think he got pretty seriously fucked up in Vietnam, so let’s be gracious.

I used to be in the offshore incorporations business, it’s much the same as onshore with respect to what “revoked” and particularly “permanently revoked” means - it’s not just one late/missed annual renewal fee /officer filing it means that the entities no longer have a legal existence due to non compliance - unable to conduct business, contracts, copyright etc. I would think it’s kinda important no? Would be grateful for a response. Thanks

Corporate regulations and criminal law are two very different kettles of fish. This doesn't even look like it counts as a misdemeanor. A wise Jewish landlord once told me that if you've never failed in business you've never tried. Besides that: Are you perfect? More good posts on the paranormal would be welcomed. Continuing to air other people's laundry regardless of who they are will just get you banned, unless that is, it's something truly egregious and well substantiated. As interesting as it may be to some, this forum wasn't meant to become the trash rag of ufology.

I think he was perhaps unwise to even bring up the subject of landlords, let alone business failure :) My question never even touched these.

This guy is in total denial - it's incredible. He goes to great lengths not to answer a simple direct question, and then digs himself a bigger hole. His take on ethics is curious. And I would have thought that a public filing record does count as pretty "well substantiated"?

Should they wish to, anyone can pick up a company that's been revoked - or it's name anyway, but I would imagine Paracast's name is too toxic and might even carry potential/unsettled lawsuits with it. And also if the company has no legal standing then the supposed Paracast copyright protection has no standing either?

It's a merry game - I'm unable to reply again, but am surprised that I haven't been banned altogether :)

As Above So Below
So he gets called a little girl and jumps up on the sexist soapbox - then blurts out this crap? Has to be a Jewish landlord, eh?

That must have got his panties in a twist...

Who said anything about it being criminal?

I keep thinking this stuff troubles him more than he thinks he’s showing. When you resort to the “are you perfect?” defense, you’re pretty much admitting there is no defense.

yes! - I was only asking reasonable questions. he won't answer me directly, but he must be starting to wonder what he's getting himself into with GS, especially given the views of the previous co-hosts David Biedny and Chris O'Brien. Also that Goggs guy, occasional guest co-host, has apparently been in a depressive state so no longer participates

I've also noticed that JRM's posts on forums are getting much briefer (even with "Constance") and that recent sign-up postings have been by outright kooks and/or pranksters. So maybe it's beginning to dawn on JRM that it's really not worth the candle? I mean we don't want the Paracast forum to become just the "trash rag of ufology" do we?
