Yep, agree 100%. As was noted by David Vincent above, someone getting just one (or I would say even a couple) of his emails might just imagine he's temporarily down on his luck and send a donation to help out. At least with this info out there if someone does a web search on him before donating they'll be informed. If they still want to give him money, or build an e-commerce site for him, or co-host his weekly podcast, well, then at least they've been forewarned.

Gotta say too this Steinberg creep is maddening. I need somewhere to vent about him at times and appreciate this outlet. It's all part of that impossibility of reasoning with him, I think. That and his attacks on others and dishonesty... aargh.

That was the one line that struck me. Steinberg is going to reward those who stuck by him. All two of them? What rewards will they be looking at? More begging emails?

There is certainly no convincing him these days. He will go to the grave convinced he is the victim.

Gene is too old to change, and he's also OCD, so forget about this clearly unhinged, irrational behavior ever changing. All this nonsense gives Steinberg meaning in his life, he doesn't care if the attention is negative or positive, at least someone knows he exists and is talking about him. Without all this online drama, his life would be an absolutely empty, flaccid fart in the wind and would center on his wife, and trust me, anything would be preferable to that nightmare, she's three sheets to the wind. Again, not surprising, being cooped up with his craziness most likely turned her into an immature headcase of a turnip.

He cannot help but send out these missives, at this point, I'm convinced they have little to do with his actual economic status. As far as JRM, he's a parasitic loser who has found someone willing to give him that tiny bit of exposure he's never had, both of them would prefer negative attention to no attention at all. We live in the era of tRump, it's amazing that Steinberg and the douchetator™ seem to have more in common that Gene would ever want to admit.

Any post that prevents someone from pissing their money away on Steinberg is a good thing, in my mind. I wouldn’t give a flying f*** what Steinberg thinks. Let him stew away in his tiny motel room.

I suppose at least hopeless fantasies of allegedly rewarding his loyalists is a step up from his fantasies as revealed in the Paranormal Davy episode, when he spoke of having enough money to settled up with the trolls. Or was that when he was demanding ~$228K from Black Angus / Mike? Either way.

The idea that Steinberg would “settle up” with his “trolls” is just plain silly. Any money that comes into his possession is wasted almost immediately. You can see just how foolish Steinberg is when he demands $228k for his websites. That is pure idiocy on his part.

The fact that while homeless and destitute one of the top things he imagined he’d do if he had cash is punish his online critics really spoke volumes to me. The grasp on reality shown by those priorities is precarious at best. Those who say he is basically an irresponsible adolescent may be on to something.

Priorities.

The series of messages from Gene once again astounds:

• The companies are private and don't assume they aren't registered elsewhere. Their status is none of your business.

Gene is the one who posts "Paracast LLC" on his website and legal bankruptcy documents. I don't assume that they are not registered elsewhere, but I have searched Arizona records to see if he registered a "foreign" corporation, which is something he should do if they are based elsewhere. After all, he is doing business as an LLC, using an Arizona address for his claimed corporation. At the very least, Gene uses the LLC label to give him a false aura of legitimacy - and at this point his credibility is all of our business.

• His personal income is none of your business.

How many emails have we gotten claiming to be down to his last dollar, overdrawn on various accounts, and in need of food, motel bills, or other needs? He has made his income our business.

• Most of the critics are total strangers.

I have never met Gene, but I have given him money. I have gotten emails for a number of years. I used to be a Plus subscriber. I have met someone who personally knows him and gave me some insight into Gene's situation. So he is not quite a total stranger.

• Dredging up Stephens old court records is both offensive and not helpful.

I would never have looked them up if Gene had not made certain claims on the UFO Trail and other forums that made no legal sense. Gene was the one who used his brother-in-law over the years.

It is not Stephen's actions that are important here, but how Gene falsely portrayed him as the victim of a vengeful woman who needed help until a settlement came through. I found it helpful to know that Gene misrepresented or lied about his brother in law's situation - I am sure that James Torson would have found it helpful to know about it before he gave Gene $44,000 based on Gene's representations.

And I find it helpful to know that Gene continues to refuse to apologize to those who gave him money under false pretenses.

• There are only one or two lenders.

Without considering earlier actions, before 2010 there were at least two judgments against him (totaling around $35,000) that Gene maintains he obtained to help Stephen and was left on the hook when the settlement did not come through.

Then there was the$44,000 he got from Torson, promising repayment based upon the nonexistent settlement.

Then there were at least two commercial lenders in the bankruptcy petition - not including the car payments he failed to make. Who knows what other money he obtained as a personal "loan?"

• Rewarding people who have stayed with him.

Maybe he should think about his moral obligations to Torson. Or his promises to help others in need.

As one of the people who posted fake reviews, I can assure you I know Gene all too well, and gave him every benefit of the doubt, more than most.

And of course the public has the right to know the state of his personal and business finances given his constant begging and cries of poverty.

The difference between Gene and Sean David Morton is merely a matter of degree.

Also, he has absolutely no sense of humour.

So this week Steinberg attempts to justify his behavior saying:

"I know of others who request donations more frequently than I do, and they aren't bothered by stalkers.
There are entire sites devoted to personal fundraising. You can do it on Facebook, GoFundMe, and others."

So i had a look at Gofundme this morning. Three cases on the page i opened.

The first a man who recently lost both of his legs in an horrific farm machinery accident.
Another a family whos life has been shattered when the father was on life support with his organs shutting down. Later losing both arms to amputation.
The third with Transverse Myelitis in her spine. This has left her with an aquired brain injury and paralysis on the left side of her body.

All Steinberg is seeing is the money raised, And figures why shouldnt i get in on this.

Gofundme, and peoples good hearted charity is for cases like these, Not to fund a motel stay and groceries. His sitaution was entirely avoidable, and could be fixed with some reasonable choices as per the advice offered.

What is truly sick and twisted is his view that his situation is comparable to those above and thus worthy of charity.

There is an adage that reads:

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime

Steinberg doesn't want to be taught how to fish, that would involve him having to put some personal effort into fishing for his daily food. Instead he dismisses that as beneath him and instead says just give me a fish every day by 11AM.

Its this arrogant entitled attitude that pisses people off.

Im sure he would be laughed off Gofundme if his "story" was:

I got evicted because i played chicken with the rent, I have multiple judgements against me for failing to pay debts, and now i need money for a motel, Takeaway food and groceries.
The reason i am poor is because i cant monetized an obscure UFO forum. That Ive chosen to believe my hobby should fund my lifestyle instead of the other way round.

Only a truly steaming pile of human excrement like Steinberg would compare his self created situation (by refusing to live within his means) with these kind of real life tragedies.

What makes him particularly despicable is the fact that his bullshit sob story sucks up money that could go to genuine good causes like these, not only that, but when people realise they have been conned by this human turd, they are then less likely to donate to real good causes in the future.

So not only is Steinberg stealing from actual good causes he is also poisoning those he cons against them.

Only a rancid cowpat of a man like Steinberg could do something like this and act like it is perfectly fine and respectable.

One of the biggest names in ufology... crickets.

Meanwhile, the thread here on Gene's financial misdeeds? Almost 300 pages.

I think it’s very much the case that what we have here is the (un) dynamic duo of epic losers. I saw in a previous post of JRM’s that he too was facing utility shutoff threats. Well they do say “birds of a feather flock together” what a pair !
