Gene Steinberg's Financial Shenanigans @ Paracast forums

Interesting statement in his latest snooze-letter:

Considering my line of work, I could easily embellish such experiences and turn them into something truly paranormal. If I were writing fiction, it wouldn’t be a problem.

But I have too much respect for factual reporting to get involved in that game.”
What bullshit! No, asshole, you couldn't manage that because it would turn out like Attack of the Hemorrhoids, so bad it's comical. You have as much talent for writing fiction as you have at managing money, which is zero even though you practice both daily. And fail miserably at both.

"Respect for factual reporting" my ass! You can't send out a begging email without lying. You are a fool.

I would really like to know how much money he pulls in with this idiotic garbage.

My favorite part is “considering my line of work.” Steinberg hasn’t worked a real job in 40+ years. He doesn’t know the meaning of the word. Scamming isn’t working, asshole.

Small, but curious, point. Since directly questioning GS about the good standing of his LLC’s I now
notice that in his Paracast snooze-letter that the copyright 1999-2019 is now attributed to “the Paracast Company” - I couldn’t see any registration of a company under that name - so presumably he’s just made it up?

It reminds me of the time when l realized for the first time ( and this was only 5 years ago or so) that it was the guest who wrote those long pandering intros that preceded an appearance on a guest show,

Just listened to the latest show with Michael Grosso just for the hell of it. Needed the distraction right now and it sounded like they had a kerfluffle. Wasn't dramatic, damn them. He just punched out when he realized enough of his time had been wasted.

On a side note - no idea why they changed to that really bad RPJ logo over the original and I admit I felt a bit nostalgic to hear the intro. Reminds me of when it was worth listening to.

If Randall wants a positive contribution to make the show better - seriously - take the time to go through the catalog of The Unexplained and take a few cues from Howard Hughes who actually knows how to conduct an interview. Really, no shit. Guests are there to promote their own causes not to play verbal ping pong. They should be allowed to do so in consideration of their own time.

Randall thinks he's having a discussion to further our understanding or some such. Grosso is a teacher and writer with many decades of experience who made it plain after the 01:20:00 mark and very pointedly at the 01:49:00 mark that he doesn't feel Randall is qualified to haul a bucket of his foamy piss. I'd also suggest Randall do a little study on passive aggressive behavior and verbal cues of same. I've heard him do this to others in the past and have seen it in the forums before I left; notably Allen Greenfield and Don Ecker. I didn't have to agree with what they were saying to recognize a distinct pattern at work by the co host; his perception of the 'value of the discussion' leads to editing forum posts and irritating guests. Heads up - it's one of the reasons most of the members left.

No way he'll ever admit to or recognize this. Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it's bad for you and annoys the pig. So says the Pigfarmer anyway.

I never found Chris O'Brien to be a fabulous interviewer and didn't always finish listening to every episode but he didn't aggravate guests in the manner I just heard. Yes, sometimes discussions could get a little heated but Randall seems to have a talent for taking things a little too far and failing to recognize the result. True, I don't broadcast anything and don't interview people. But I'm not a chef (or even much of a cook) either and can tell when the food sucks.

Didn't bother listening much past the point where the man bailed. I heard enough of those two rationalizing and didn't find that the time I spent overall added one iota of information to what I currently know of think about the specific topics at hand.

Maybe the Universe will take pity and add two hours of time back at the end of my life.

They usually just cut and paste directly from the guest’s webpage/blog

Amen to that

This last guest was an intro via Buckley apparently- they really are rooting around at the bottom of the barrel these days - the circus is surely cratering now - quite apt as the 13th anniversary is upcoming. Maybe the grand finale would be a “consciousness” mutual masterbation episode with “Constance” and JRM battling it out - would soon turn to un-consciousness for the audience.

Yes JRM is a bit of an annoying “one trick pony” when it comes to his psuedo-philosophical approach to these matters - and he does it in quite supercilious/condescending manner that’s pretty well guaranteed to annoy.

Chris could sometimes be a bit of an annoying interviewer too - with his long drawn out questions and his chewing noises accompanying Gene’s keyboard tapping - but at least he managed some decent guest bookings and had actually read their books.

So if I got this correctly Grosso bailed early (?) And it may have been because of that pompous twit?
