Hello! This is my first post to this community. I hope I'm not breaking any rules.
I was wondering what you thought of specimen 46-B. The alleged octopus resembling life form that evolved in a cave lake in northern Russia. It allegedly killed 2 scientists.
Here is the best video I found. It quotes eye-witness scientists.

This was covered up by the Russian government. Could it be harnessed? Is it real? Thoughts.

Welcome to AE. If the lake was isolated from the outside for millions of years and it was pitch black for that long then what would be the purpose of a visual chameleon ability? The way it was describes sounds more like a mental ability to project screen images like the Grays use. Another thing is they captured it, but its beak is powerful enough to dismember its prey which would make the specimen rather large. The hole they drilled in the ice would probably only be a couple of feet in diameter and the container couldn't be larger than that. I think it's very possible they found a unique octopus species.
