This AM I waited until Brian arrived to get Debbie for class to ask how it went.
Debbie said "nice music" But "a magic act." Brian said "now you know why I never go" then "I want to take Debbie to meet my grandmother. it's an oversight. "
I told him I would think on it..

Feeling much better now, and going back to work tomorrow...The past four days counting today I've been off work, at home most of that time, getting over a cold and resting...

after much thought and discussion with Rikki and Brian's folks we decided that Debbie could go to meet Brian's Grandmother . Since it's in Chicago we rented a hotel room for Debbie. Brian will sleep in a room with his mom.
No naughty activities are permitted.
Brian's mom is fundamental Christian so we are sure of oversight.

I had a terrible time in school with serious learning disabilities. I was in a special class in grade school and got no extra help after that. I suspect something was done to me at a young age to impede my ability to learn. My advice is once you catch the problem get tutors. I also had a serious nutrition problem and I wouldn't eat because I had no appetite. That greatly impacted the development of my brain in conjunction with being premature and extremely underweight at birth. In the fourth grade I looked like an Auschwitz prisoner. I found a picture of myself at age two and it looked like I had hydrocephalus.

Finally managed to scrape up all the things i need to finish my drywall. most importantly is an old Chicago 1/2 inch right angle 2 speed drill to mix all the mud, i tried the potato masher thing for a day didnt like it much.

Chicago Electric? I have a love/hate affair with Harbor Freight. Get so many coupons in the mail I decided to use them - rule was one item purchased at a time + coupon, and the item had to be something I actually needed or used. I have accumulated multi meters, flashlights, tarps, screwdrivers and tons of those little magnetic dishes. It's a crap shoot but overall I'd say everything I got there fit my expectation, and part of that is that some things really are too cheap to bother with. Sawzall blades for example - junk. But not most. You can't beat them for floor jacks, jack stands. I'm going to pull the trigger on one of their 1/2" drive torque wrenches for $20 less 20% + another tarp or something. It was surprisingly well reviewed and I can see spending 5 times as much to get one made in the next Chinese factory over just because it has a brand name on it.

to follow up on my kids and school.
Kate is decent in her studies. She does well mostly B report card.
Debbie is amazing she is in advanced classes. She gets A all the time.
Ian is ok except for history.
Chris struggles with his studies. we been actively trying to figure out why.
Samantha is 4 and seems bright from a child of her age.

Its the first day of spring, at least as far as I'm concerned as we are having a sunny and warm day here today, so much so I mowed the field and the yard around the house, gave my new garden location a tilling, I'll need to re-till the garden next week again, I don't plan on planting until the end of April anyways...

It was really nice to be outside working on the property again, the riding mower fired right up, I gave it an oil change and new filter before I started it, same with the tiller...I'm eating a late lunch right now, same with Kobi, he was off running in the forest close by whilst I was mowing....He always stays within sight on me, I think that's more him than me since he's very protective of me, but I think that's the nature of Australian Shepherds...

Last night I picked up the twins from roller derby practice. I addressed my concerns about the language with "Hazzed" a couch. "derby girls will be derby girls." but I counted with" kids are parrots."
after a discussion about it. an agreement was reached to tone down the potty mouth.
