Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation

It's interesting how the History Channel has become the UFO Channel. They don't seem to do much conventional history anymore.

I am expecting a recap of various cases and the general stuff we all know about culminating in the Nimitz incident. Whee.

People prefer looking into the mysterious unknown rather than study where they came from. History does not create the chemical high that paranormal stuff does.

Its an addiction to the adrenaline that keeps it alive. So powerful is the addiction that people abduct themselves in their subconscious states and in a concious state they want to believe it was real... because the adrenaline and endorphin buzz is all they really want.

If we make history telling stimulating enough, people would be addicted to that and they would all become walking encyclopedias...

Am I to infer that you don't believe any abductions are real?

Apparently some are not following the TTSA revelations and don't see how this coming show is connected...

Abductions are certainly possible, but I don’t think abductions happen as often people want to believe.

Most abductions are just bad dreams, caused by a built in warning system to keep us ferrule for survival.

I agree. In my opinion, maybe a handful of actual abductions have occurred over the last several decades.
But many abduction researchers (e.g., Jacobs) would have us think that hundreds or thousands are happening every year.

I agree. In my opinion, maybe a handful of actual abductions have occurred over the last several decades.

I'm open to that possibility, but between sleep paralysis, fantasy prone personalities, false memories, bogus memory regression therapy (there is no good science supporting it and many cases of false memories being induced), and the unethical and amateurish work of people like David Jacobs, I'm not sure that there is a residue of good cases. I'm not aware of any. We have talked to people who have had very strange experiences, but most of these are not interpreted as abductions by the experiencer.

I read a lot of history and have always said that it's much better than most fiction

I notice that people who read and study history will find it stimulating, and I agree.

I had nothing but boring history lessons until college when I started reading history as if it was gossip... and that was when I began to learn history!

History has all kinds of naughty tidbits that are better than most TV shows, and much better than fuction. Haha.

A lot of accepted history is gossip! Or personality-driven self indulgent crapola at least. I try and get past dry facts and figures and learn about the individuals involved in any particular story.

“It Seemed To Be Aware That We Were There.” Female Nimitz Pilot Appears on Unidentified

The female pilot from the Nimitz encounters, who was at first labeled no more than a theory or rumor, appeared during the latest trailer of To the Stars Academy’s History Channel show “Unidentified.” Speaking about the Tic Tac UFO she said, “It seemed to be aware that we were there.” Startling. It looks like she will be appearing anonymously during the program and I respect her wishes to do so.

This pilot was wrapped up in what is now referred to as the “Chris Mellon leak.” “Twitter User Jay” had come across Chris Mellon’s website, tweeted the link and tagged yours truly last year. The first thing I saw on the website was the elusive Luis Elizondo resignation letter. I was out and about but scrambled to update my own UFO news website I was with at the time, via my cell phone, with Elizondo’s resignation that we had been hearing about for months prior. Even the original New York Times article referenced it. It came directly from Chris Mellon’s website so I thought everything was on the up and up.

It all happened so fast. I hadn’t realized that an unredacted Nimitz investigation was also included on Chris Mellon’s website, as well as an informative but sensitive AATIP powerpoint referencing other matters. After the post was published, and swept across the UFO community causing a lot of attention, I realized what happened and took down the link. Chris Mellon’s website, which was supposed to be password protected and for whatever reason hadn’t been that day, was then locked and subsequently deleted promptly, but it was too late.

The identities of the pilots including names and phone numbers was already out in the public realm. To this day I don’t know how much trouble it caused them. I only can hope minimal damage was done. George Knapp commented – he was impressed that after we realized the website had personal information, most people who had it, pulled it down. The often volatile UFO community had succeeded in stepping up and being classy for once, policing its own rather than spreading personal information and eating its young as it normally does.

I’m happy to see the female pilot now coming forward on Unidentified, not only as a strong (and somewhat rare) female role model in military aviation and especially in the UFO community, but because her account of the events is extremely important. Alejandro Rojas and UFO Joe talked about the importance of the female pilot, just weeks ago.

It’s great to see TTSA being able to dig up more Nimitz witnesses. This new pilot, along with Sean Cahill will mark at least two new Nimitz personalities when Unidentified airs. Dave Beaty has also done an amazing job getting in touch with multiple witnesses, including Kevin Day (also featured on the Unidentified show) and cataloging their accounts. His newly updated version of the Nimitz Encounters film should be released later this month. The Unidentified is currently on the minds of everyone in the UFO community and probably many other people in the government plus academic, scientific and aerospace fields among others.

As I intimated to Alejandro Rojas myself
, a lot is riding on this show, not just for TTSA, but for all of the supporters of the initiative as well. And we are confident it will deliver. When the N.Y. Times article changed the world in late 2017 it mobilized many of us, myself included, to get involved. Unidentified will be airing after the sometimes controversial Ancient Aliens program, but that means it will have a chance to pull in that show’s millions of viewers. If the Times story got us all involved, I only can hope a new wave of interest will explode when Unidentified airs.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

OK I get why it's there but would embrace all this much more readily if we were getting a 60 Minutes piece on this rather than it being parked amongst all the woo woo.

Lots of people seem to be excited for this show, id temper those expectations. Realistically, what can it really change? Its a tv show on History Channel, which has alot of UFO shows and many times not very good ones. Maybe this will be better than most, maybe not, well see.

Its been posted here how difficult it would be to show that any of those materials they say they have in their possession are something extraordinary. And if the show or TTSA cant show or produce something like this or on that level and all the tests and papers later connected into it for anyone else to verify, its not gonna do anything. Its just gonna be more UFO entertainment, with intresting but ultimately inconclusive stuff, and weve seen that before.

Im not trying to be a Negative Ned here, just realistic.

Maybe they just want to turn more peoples heads around with this, not convince academics(yet), that might work. But if they ultimately truly wish to change the view on this subject and the paradigm, the only things which can accomplish that are rigorous science and good EVIDENCE. Mr Elizondo has talked about this himself, lets hope he can also eventually walk the walk.

That was the reasoning I heard Jeremy Corbell give regarding that Skinwalker crockumentary he released - that I was dumb enough to spend $$ on. The idea was to present it to a newer, younger audience that may not be aware of it. Good idea actually, he's made his splash and I say best of luck to him.

One way of looking at Unidentified is to say that TTSA has hold of such a hot potato that this documentary will serve to grease the skids as part of an apparently necessary controlled disclosure. If true, I honestly can't say what I expect public reaction would be or if 'controlled disclosure' would really make any difference in the end. No matter what, some segment of the population will be clear headed and others not. I'm really not expecting a Return of the Archons Festival. Festivus maybe.

Another way of looking at this is that TTSA is taking the Corbell approach and taking advantage of fertile ground for less altruistic reasons. Which is what I suspect and would like to be proven wrong about.
