Had four days off in a row including today. Actually feel like a human being again.
That'll change tomorrow when I go back ....

My brother's coming for a visit in June and I took a solid two weeks off. May not go back after that.

I tore out the rear spring on the old Chevy on Wed and found the new one to be substantially thicker than the old one. We have a specialty fastener place nearby and ten bucks got me a box full of big honkin' bolts. Yesterday afternoon I got it all put together and - not unexpectedly - the rear end that was too droopy now is sitting at least 2" too high.

So back for more hardware. This place is really old school. It's in an ancient industrial park that's largely abandoned. Looks very 1945 Berlin. Have to go back and get some more goodies and then let them sit on my bench a while. Off to work.

I had to put new rear springs on my truck when i got it, when i did i purchased the ones with a 2 inch lift. Its a 2000 ford 150. I never liked ford but whatever, anyhow it does have P.I. heads, cams, and intake already on it, and it just had the sparkplugs replaced. so thats a plus. I was going to get a 97 silverado with a 6 inch lift and a mild 502 bigblock, but my wife is only 5 foot tall and she couldn`t drove it.ha ha and i didn`t feel like getting a ladder out to clean ice off the windshield.

Couldn't sleep worth a damn these past two nights. Going to be a long busy day on my aching feet. I feel like two hundred pounds of old monkey s**t scraped off the concrete floor of the zoo. Ooooof.

I've been dealing with coyotes the past few days and nights, I saw two of them bigger than my dog run through the meadow to the right of my house yesterday early morning...Then last night close to midnight I was out back with my dog, he was on a lead about 40 feet from me and I felt a cold chill which gave way to a fearful sort of nervousness like something evil was watching you, that feeling creeping through my bones and then I saw a shadow move...I knew it was a coyote, I called my dog quickly and he jumped on the deck as I stepped on the deck too and in a split moment the hairs on my body were standing up, butterflies in the stomach, my left arm started trembling, they were close to us, my dog was getting nervous, I opened the back door and followed the dog inside fast swinging it closed right behind me...

Solid oak door with a window at eye level I lock the door and look out the window...I see a big shadow move at the edge of the deck, where there's one coyote there are more just out of sight, glad we got back in, my shotgun is at the front of the house, not the back, but its going with me tonight when I let the dog out...Its been a while since they have been this close to my house, usually can hear them a far off howling late at night...I should have known something was going on, there's been deer around a lot lately then they all disappeared, now coyotes are here...I set out some early warning triggers, just simple cans and string all around the house which I will also have to relocate every day...They can be clever...

Democratic Socialism.
two words used by Bernie Sanders.
my twins begain to investigate exactly what that meant. it took almost two months to learn the truth. the twins at first were disappointed and I encouraged them to find a new candidate. to look not only at Democrats but examine the record of Donald Trump.
"Teens for Sanders " is dead. Now l watch to see if all I taught them is used.

Bigfoot follows coyotes, keep an ear out for them, they love to mimic.

@coubob is right. When you get your hunting permit in NY (which I haven't done since the early '90s) you get a syllabus that tells you what the season dates are for various weapons and animals. Even a common crow was on it. Zap one out of season and you could get a fine.

That said, screw that. If they are that close to the house make sure your garbage is closed up and isn't an attraction and then terminate them with extreme prejudice.

Yep here in North Carolina we can shoot coyotes year round, all that's needed is a hunting license but if one were to attack and its killed in self defense no fine is given...I can shoot them on my property if they venture too close to the house or my dog...I was watching out last night too, could hear them back in the woods behind the house but they didn't get close last night when we were outside...

I`m getting ready for room two, i took the paneling off and the crap they had on the ceiling down. this is what the room i just got done with looked like before hand. the ceiling joist is spongy, so like the other room i`m gonna have to drag some 14 foot 2x6 `s out of the garage and crawl up there and sister the darn things, no biggie really. most the glue came off with the panaling that was on the drywall, a few patchs and alot of mud and i`ll have it looking like the other room, in no time.

Just came back from a hike in the forest, found a spot with three fresh rabbits eaten to the bones, definitely coyotes ate them, probably a day or two max...The rabbit skins are still fairly fresh, one of them was was a big rabbit...Found that spot about 300 yards or so from my property in a clearing in the woods...

At least the coyotes on the property would seem like less of a problem

They were out last night near the house, I didn't see them, I was asleep, but there was a big turd near the deck steps this morning, my dog doesn't crap that close to the house...So I think they are testing things and intentionally showing their presence...A trail cam is going outside tonight, I didn't have such a camera but my neighbor does, so I borrowed it from him...Maybe I can get an idea how many there are...
