Yeah, McPherson struts were still a bit in the future for this car. Big heavy steel upper & lower control arms, rubber bushings, coil springs, traditional gas shocks, ball joints, tie rods, pitman arm, idler arm, relay rod etc. Just rebuilt it all. Damned near broke my left thumb in the process. It's only now becoming useful weeks later.

There are all sorts of after market composite leaf springs, coil over conversions, rack & pinion conversions, tubular A and trailing arms. For my daydreaming time wasting project I would like to get hold of a later c3 '79-'82 and put a modern suspension under it. Restomod. A nice off the shelf drop in small block performance engine like a 383 stroker, somewhat aggressive but still drivable roller cam, and probably fuel injected. Surprisingly you can still contact Chevrolet and whistle up about any damned motor you want, they still make them. Not in Flint, Michigan anymore of course.....
I just rattled off like $20K+ easily for all that so it's in no danger of happening any time soon.

Yeah - pretty easy to mix and match Chevy parts in that time frame.

Feeling great today, I never did see a doctor, just worked it out naturally, only took a few cough drops to stymie the cough I had lol...Just finished mowing the property and half the meadow, a window of opportunity because we are getting rainy weather for the next five or six days...Good for the garden, it needs rain water instead of county water...

I'm having a relaxing quiet afternoon out back, sporadic rain here and there all afternoon and very pleasant temps at 72 degrees, nice breeze, moments of sun between the pockets of rain...My dog is laying in the wet grass sleeping outside the shop door near where I'm sitting overlooking the forest which is also quiet today, haven't seen many critters today...

Finally graduated from college and have been focusing on web development, something my program didn't focus on but that I have a great interest in... I have been going to a few interviews for the past week or so, one is looking good but would only be a contract position as a Developer Support Tech until the end of October unless the company opens up a full-time position after it expires... If that doesn't work out, I have one more interview scheduled with a local Apple store next week sometime. :Alien:

In more exciting news I'm taking a week long vacation to North Carolina next month, it will be nice to "disconnect" for awhile...

My brother is visiting a few weeks. My den becomes the spare bedroom so ipso facto no access to my pc sometimes. So I’m poking at my little plastic pop tart instead. This will take some getting used to.

Gotta have a keyboard, mouse, monitor. Very 20th century, but I feel inhibited on this thing

Smart phones are getting powerful enough there should be an adapter to connect them to a keyboard and full size monitor.

They support USB for syncing. So it should just take a cradle and an app.

It’s enough to bitch over but not enough to actually do anything about it. Figure I’d try this. Not bad. Takes getting used to

Adapter cable
USB SlimPort to HDMI (MHL Video Cable for LG G4 G3 G2 Google Nexus 4 5 E960)

From what I can tell if you have an Android it is just a matter of getting a video cable. I'm assuming you have an HDMI monitor. Depending on Android you may need an adapter from to microUSB to the Samsung connector (11 pin???).

You might want to check around to get a version of the adapter cable that will let you supply power to the phone.

Bluetooth keyboard and mouse should be all you need.

the Beld street Bullfrogs lost to the Badger road badgers 15-0 .
it was not a good night for my son Ian who struck out 4 times and had an error that allowed 2 runs to score.
he was a good sport about the loss and shook hands with the winning players.
telling the pitcher "you got me good."

Today at work I was briefly in range of a woman who zapped the energy out of the room as soon as she opened her mouth...A friend was with me and he told me later he got physically ill and felt like vomiting...I started feeling weak and lightheaded and reached out to his arm to signal him to follow me and we quickly left...As we left I saw the three other poor souls in her vicinity and they did not look good, they were on their own though, I couldn't help them...

Did you trying gagging her for public health reasons?

Do you have a theory on why she affects people so negatively?

Possibly dark energy.

I was thinking nails on chalkboard voice.

But a voice so bad it makes people sick is pushing the limits of the technology.

Perhaps both, the raspy screeching notes in her voice was very discomforting, I could see that sound physically affecting someone but I think her energy was dark or bad although she was trying to be nice and polite...She ran me off quickly...

and so unknown to him I'm going to take my 8 year old son to a meeting and test of he wants to try to be a real knight!
