I have arachnophobia. My old damaged heart did not appreciate the surprise I got this morning when I found a giant spider in the kitchen sink. It's been hours since it happened and I still feel weak as a kitten.

I was planning on doing quite a bit of housework today. Guess I get to take the day instead. lol

I just spent a couple hours in the garden, pulling weeds and putting up some chicken wire to keep the deer out...The garden plants are big enough now to be noticed by the deer that frequent my property, so I need to be sure they don't get in...Its about to rain here too, just in time lol...

My significant other planted a bunch of tomato plants in pots on our back deck. She's gone to OCD levels to ensure that they grow well. We added epsom salt to the soil, for instance, because she said it has an important mineral in it that most plants need. The first tomatoes have finally started to ripen. They're good but they're not big, juicy ones like I expected.

Epsom salt gives the plants more magnesium which improves the plant's ability to take in valuable nutrients but if other nutrients are missing in the soil the fruit will suffer...Could be other factors though, I want to try growing bibb lettuce in pots in the house or on the back deck...I grew a stevia plant once in a pot, it did well enough, I still have some of that in a jar and dried, I use it in my tea sometimes...

I've kind of dedicated approximately a half acre to the garden, I don't plant that whole area, just a small portion but I move the garden every year to a different spot within that half acre giving the soil time to refresh and replenish vital nutrients...It's not great for growing corn but greens, beans, peppers, and all melons do well in the soil of that half acre...I'm going to try broccoli next year and probably try to grow a variety of herbs and carrots...

a co worker of mine belongs to an group of people that bring the middle ages to life. this group is called The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) I questioned him on the group. asked if a young boy would be welcome. he said we always need squires and pages.
and so unknown to him I'm going to take my 8 year old son to a meeting and test of he wants to try to be a real knight!

Yeah, knew somebody that was in that. Had boiled leather armor, etc. etc.

Sounds like fun.

I am back!
A note on my absence. I asked my husband not to mention this highly personal event. It is left to me to let this group know that on march 30th 2019 my father suffered a stroke. Not only I have been focused on my family but have spent a considerable amount of my personal time and energy to help in his recovery. He has made great progress and with the help of the Goddess he has recovered to the point I am reopening my social media.
I ask Nivek and any others to direct me to any topic that my input would be welcome. Finally I ask for nothing but thoughts, prayers and white energy be sent to my father.
Blessed Be

Weather Channel Returns to Verizon Fios Lineup After Four Years

I'm officially old now. All day long I've been excited because they finally brought The Weather Channel back to FIOS -- just in time for hurricane season! Last year I had to depend on illegally posted video updates on YouTube.
Nah, I think that just comes with experience, After some time we all finally learn the weather will change someones whole day. That's something the truly young don't grasp.

So at one point, we all begin to keep a close eye on the weather. I've got my phone and pc set with push notifications for the local weather. I like to know when it's going to be over 90 degrees outside, For some strange reason, When it's really really hot outside, I can't breathe very well.

Yeah but seeing Jim Cantore get slapped in the face with wind and rain during a hurricane has become one of those traditions, like watching the Macy's Parade on Thanksgiving Day. :laugh8:

I heard the Rothschilds purchased the Weather Channel. They probably want to conceal weather manipulation.
There was a form of weather control I used to hear about, I think It was called HAARP. For years, I've wondered if these very harsh hurricane seasons were due to experimentation with HAARP. Consider for a moment, Even if it has no practical use, No benefits. When people possess power they are tempted to use it. I've also considered they are experimenting with weaponizing the weather.

The recent weather has impacted our food production and the ability to feed livestock. The Wizard of Oz isn't doing us any favors.
