World’s biggest iceberg, A68, on move along Antarctic Peninsula
Iceberg A68 is moving along the Antarctic Peninsula, as seen from a satellite animation from the Copernicus Programme and the European Space Agency.

Two years after its split from the Larsen C Ice Shelf in the Antarctic, the animation shared by Adrian Luckman, satellite imaging glaciologist and professor at Swanesa University in Wales, shows the ice mass rotating nearly 270 degrees, as he stated in a blog post.

A68 is about 220 yards thick, and has an area of around 2,300 square miles, according to Weddell Sea Exploration. The iceberg’s area is nearly equivalent to the state of Delaware.

Since it broke off two years ago, the iceberg has moved about 150 miles north by the Weddell Gyre, an ocean current, Luckman said.

“For an object weighing around one trillion [metric tons], it appears remarkably mobile — Antarctic tabular icebergs are probably the planet’s most massive free-moving objects,” Luckman wrote.

The iceberg is the sixth largest on satellite record, according to Luckman.

There are some advantages to this in that the structures can be lighter and larger than can be launched.

Anything launched has to withstand 3 G and a lot of vibration, and fit into a fairing.

They might be tempted to print parts that are under strength, and special coatings and tempering are going to be hard to do.

Spray painting a coating in space could get ugly.

For things like instrument and solar array booms it would be great.

I would run a wire through any long assembly so that if it breaks you don't have to chase the pieces.

Journalist Travels to Ilhan Omar’s Homeland to Prove Somalia is Beautiful, Gets Killed by Terrorists

Before President Trump’s tweetstorm in which he encouraged Omar to go back and fix her own country, Somali-Canadian journalist Hodan Nalayeh was trying to do precisely that. Nalayeh returned to the country of her birth to tell “uplifting” stories about Somalia, according to the Washington Post.

The journalist became well known for her relentlessly positive tweets about Somalia. Just one week ago, she lauded the “beauty” of the place. One respondent praised her for “countering the doom narrative propagated by many about Somalia”.

Another Somali writer praised her portraying an image of the country radically different from the stereotype of “victims trapped in a vicious circle of conflicts”. During a video tour on her YouTube channel of the town of Kismayo, Nalayeh said she was hopeful the area could be rebuilt and revived, “Because this place is beautiful!”

On Friday last week, Nalayeh was killed in that very same town when al-Shabab militants stormed the Asasey Hotel in Kismayo. The total death toll claimed 26 lives and it took around 14 hours for Somali security forces to regain control of the hotel.

“While Nalayeh’s death would seem to underline the harshness of Trump’s remarks, it was also a visceral argument for what many understood to be his central point: that perhaps immigrants should be especially grateful to live in the United States,” reports the Pluralist.

EXCLUSIVE: Career officials rebut claims of White House interference in security clearance process

The White House security issue appears to be dead.

Farage: May 'Openly Lied' to UK About Threatening EU with No Deal

The European Union’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier has said that Prime Minister Theresa May never told him that Britain would consider leaving the EU without a deal.

May was just grossly incompetent. British PMs like this that couldn't negotiate their way out of a paper bag make Trump look like a genius.

She not only lied and didn't use her biggest weapon in negotiation and:

Recently leaked documents revealed that U.S. officials were becoming frustrated with the lack of progress on a deal, because the British had failed to hire enough trade specialists and get the right people in the negotiating room.

She didn't even properly staff negotiations.

Boris has to be an improvement.

Suicidal Squirrels.

When I was in Minneapolis our facility had to shutdown for a day because a Kamikaze squirrel shorted two of the phases.
