There was a documentary about the assassination on TV recently and Leavelle was one of the people interviewed. Immediately after Oswald was shot, he could see that the injury was probably fatal. He told Oswald that he was badly injured and begged him to confess anything he wanted to say before he passed but unfortunately Oswald said nothing.

The documentary also interviewed Buell Frazier who, simply out of courtesy, drove Oswald to work the day of the assassination, not knowing anything of his plans to kill the president. Only 19 at the time, Frazier's life would be forever tarnished by the gesture offered to his coworker. For the rest of his life he would be accused of conspiring to help Oswald. Very sad.

He had ridden with him a few times.....but I agree the enigma that followed him was unfortunate.

Especially when he was cleared rather quickly......except for those looking for many other conspirators.

Yes, I think the Kennedy Assassination, due to its notoriety, is unique compared to most crimes. There are people wanting to find conspiracies everywhere and connect anyone they can, regardless of the lack of evidence.

Well said.....not to mention making up evidence.
