9/11 Remembrance

I was watching a program last night that they were worried a second plane was going to hit the pentagon. They told everyone to move 500 yards away from the building. I don't remember that. Maybe it was flight 93.

I was under the impression flight 93 was heading to the capitol or white house.

I still think it's amazing that the short-lived X Files spinoff, The Lone Gunmen, had an episode in March of 2001 in which bad guys try to crash a plane into the World Trade Center. Truly creepy.

Its not a novel idea really.....as an army bomber hit the Empire State Building on the 72nd floor in 1945.

Arguably the most clearest, longest footage of the 2nd plane hitting…

9/11 victim's relative JUMPS into NYC's World Trade Center memorial after being given brief access to the site to see their loved one's name: NYPD says they survived 45 FOOT drop into just 18 inches of water

Police have launched a probe after a person jumped into the 9/11 North Tower Memorial.

The person survived the leap, diving into the 45ft reflecting pool, which was briefly cordoned off, according to the New York Times.

Officials told the Times that the jumper was a relative of a 9/11 victim who was 'briefly granted access to the restricted area at the plaza-level.'

They had been looking at their loved one's name on the memorial, with the area reopening a short time later.

Security officials reportedly told the Times the relative survived the leap into the 18-inch deep water, and complained of back pain.

This is a developing story.
