Actually, there's a segment of handgun manufacturers that market to that exact demographic: fishermen who go into the deep woods to catch the same tasty things that bears subsist on. In the late '90s a variation of the venerable Single Action Army was made with a new cartridge called a .454 Casull. Quite a handful. I think virtually all of the first couple of years of production went straight to Alaska. These days they're marketing 10mm automatics for this purpose. Dunno about all that.

Hydnellum peckii is a special type of fungi that produce blood or juice like fluid on its surface. This plant is also known as ‘bleeding tooth fungus’. It is the Scarlet pigment causes blood like the color on the fluid of this plant. This strange plant mainly found across North America and Europe. It is edible, but the blood like fluid is extremely bitter in taste.
