It's 15 degrees F out there now and snow's on the way Tuesday.

Warmed up the lawn tractor, mower, weed whacker and pressure washer. Drained all the oil and gas. Pressure washed all the grass & crud off everything. Refilled with fresh oil, sharpened blades. Real edge of the seat fascinating old-man stuff.

On that note - my hat's off to the marketing genius that decided you never have to change your lawnmower oil. Small push mowers these days don't even have a drain plug - you're just supposed to keep them topped off. Manufacturing costs are reduced by eliminated the plug and machining for it. Even at pennies per unit it's worth it. And now they die sooner because you never change the oil or service them, meaning you'll be back for another one before too long.

Maybe they figured out the engines always outlive the deck and oil changes don't really matter in the long run. Probably. But you can't speak that bald faced heresy in my house. Those swine..... I just flipped it over and drained it anyway.

I'm in my workshop, playing music in the background, seems I remember on a Rainbow album I had in the seventies on the song Catch the Rainbow there was a slight skip midway through it...On the digital recording I was just listening to I swear I heard a skip in the song at about the same spot as that old album...I replayed it three times and cannot hear it now lol, I guess the good ole memory jumped in to play it like I heard it in the seventies...

At what point into the sound did you hear the slight skip? For years I thought AC/DC was saying Done Der Cheap instead of Done Dirt Cheap. In the song Thank You Next I hear her saying Bacon & Eggs.

Right at about 3:24 into the song, as I heard that skip it triggered the memory of the original album I had doing that but it seems the memory was already alive making me think I heard it in the current digital copy...

So, the skip became part of the song? Because it was an anomaly it probably became the most significant portion of the song. o_O

engines always outlive the deck
Thats my biggest complaint, i am always on the lookout for a good deck, I had an old Tecumseh 3 1/2 hp engine that was from the late 60`s that i only rebuilt once(i also port matched, blended, ect.ect the little thing), and ran like a champ for along time till this last summer so i went out and got me new push mower, and the deck sucks,i will soon have to take some stainless laying around and bend it, form it and pop rivet it on the week points in front of the back wheels where mine always seem to split and crack.

Cool. I love getting the last little bit out of a machine.

I will admit to the unmanful practice of actually finding and then reading the owner's manual for my 2 year old little Craftsman 21" push mower. We are required to keep the manuals in a neat box but never stoop to actually reading one - unless it's for a part #. That's acceptable. It does tell you to change the oil and it does tell you to pour it out through the top fill hole. Stupid but not exactly a show stopper.

And then a 10' tall Sasquatch stepped out of the woods, dragged it into a silvery disc shaped craft and flew off with it. He left me a receipt for it - in binary.

Well, not really but I'm talking about lawnmowers in a paranormal forum ..... anybody catches me bitching about crabgrass please, please send a team to deal with the situation ......

I have a Happy teen who shared her gift from Brian with her family. After that. Debbie Had a private conversation with Rikki and I about her relationship with Brian. She confessed it was hard not to move into a physical relationship but it was respect that is keeping her from doing so . in a statement of trust we told her that when it came to decisions about her life, that she had full control over all decisions.

Fighting with my PTSD alot today, more so than usual. I`ve had it since my early teens. It wasn`t discovered till i started to have seizures at 17 and was seen by a Professor of neurology. Epilepsy can and has been controlled. But the PTSD is crazy and having bi-polar to boot it don`t help none. That Professor i seen is the one that done the post hypnotic regression on me when he found out i had a missing time event of 4 hours. They blamed my ptsd for something simple, but it was the 4 hour abduction, ya think? What i remember most at the neurologist office was when i was leaving with my parents, ya see during the post hypnotic regression he stopped and made everyone but one staff member leave and go outside, apparently it didn`t really help none cause they heard me anyhow. but walking out everyone was holding their children behind them and looking at me like i was Frankenstein. Oh well.who knows..Maybe i am

Got up at 0215. Have to start functioning, long day ahead. Waking up at this hour is very different than not being to bed yet. Just went out with the dog to conduct some business and there's just enough light to see that it's absolutely beautiful out there; frozen, quiet, stark.

F**k all that. Have to swill a pot of black coffee and get my ass to work.

0330 this morning for myself, my original working hours were set at 0800 to 1700 five days a week but I usually go in about 0500 and depart about 1800 four days a week and Fridays I'll leave anywhere between noon and 1500 lol...Some Saturdays but not many...

Yay its Friday, this work week has been so long it seems, I'm very tired this morning, although I'm not working much more hours than normal, its just the demand and mental tiredness wearing me down...I should be done with work around 1400 this afternoon, then going into town to fill my propane tanks and then home...I probably won't leave the house again until Monday morning when I go back to work lol...
