Chief exorcist says Devil is in Vatican

Father Gabriele Amorth said people who are possessed by Satan vomit shards of glass and pieces of iron.

He added that the assault on Pope Benedict XVI on Christmas Eve by a mentally unstable woman and the sex abuse scandals which have engulfed the Church in the US, Ireland, Germany and other countries, were proof that the Anti-Christ was waging a war against the Holy See.

"The Devil resides in the Vatican and you can see the consequences," said Father Amorth, 85, who has been the Holy See's chief exorcist for 25 years.

"He can remain hidden, or speak in different languages, or even appear to be sympathetic. At times he makes fun of me. But I'm a man who is happy in his work."

While there was "resistance and mistrust" towards the concept of exorcism among some Catholics, Pope Benedict XVI has no such doubts, Father Amorth said. "His Holiness believes wholeheartedly in the practice of exorcism. He has encouraged and praised our work," he added.

The evil influence of Satan was evident in the highest ranks of the Catholic hierarchy, with "cardinals who do not believe in Jesus and bishops who are linked to the demon," Father Amorth said.

In a rare insight into the world of exorcism, the Italian priest told La Repubblica newspaper that the 1973 film The Exorcist gave a "substantially exact" impression of what it was like to be possessed by the Devil.

People possessed by evil sometimes had to be physically restrained by half a dozen people while they were exorcised. They would scream, utter blasphemies and spit out sharp objects, he said.

"From their mouths, anything can come out – pieces of iron as long as a finger, but also rose petals," said Father Amorth, who claims to have performed 70,000 exorcisms. "When the possessed dribble and slobber, and need cleaning up, I do that too. Seeing people vomit doesn't bother me. The exorcist has one principal duty - to free human beings from the fear of the Devil."

The attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II by a Turkish gunman in 1981 and recent revelations of "violence and paedophilia" committed by Catholic priests against children in their care was also the work of the Devil, said Father Amorth, who has written a book about his vocation, Memoirs of an Exorcist, which was published recently.

Father Amorth, who is the president of the Association of Exorcists and fought as a partisan during the war, has previously claimed that both Hitler and Stalin were possessed by the Devil.

In an interview with Vatican Radio in 2006, he said: "Of course the Devil exists and he can not only possess a single person but also groups and entire populations.

"I am convinced that the Nazis were all possessed. All you have to do is think about what Hitler and Stalin did."

He also condemned the Harry Potter books, saying they were dangerous because they dabbled in the occult and failed to draw a clear distinction between "the Satanic art" of black magic and benevolent white magic.

The Devil and Harry Potter ?

At a local level there are churches that provide excellent schools, charity for those in need and all sorts of things. Probably a lot like any other organization - you have good and bad branch offices run by good and bad managers.

I was raised as a Roman Catholic but my immune system and frontal lobes helped be shrug it off. Got married in one the first time complete with the whole shebang in a giant old church. My first wife's family were devout and actually tithed to this particular church. Young couples are expected to attend Pre-Cana which is a pre-wedding counseling session or two from married couples who have been together a while. Real common sense stuff, yet somehow I found myself in a surprisingly lavish rectory with the Father telling me I must go to a weekend retreat at a monastery. Actually, I had already been to a one or two, naturally on service calls, and I thought 'no f*****g way on God's Green Earth will I do THAT'

No shit, I asked for a private conversation with him and wrote a check for $500. Problem solved and congratulations to the man in the dress to confirming exactly what I thought when I walked in the door and saw his study. We went to another nearby church, one not nearly so lavish, to Pre-Cana. That was one of the good branch offices I think. And in the end my pious Catholic wife did things that pious Catholic wives do. Many, maybe most, but carefully said not all are a bunch of hypocrites. I'm sure Catholicism doesn't have exclusive rights to that.

Da Debbil my hairy ass. Just another facet of human nature.

I think that's part of the problem, People want to believe the impossible, Just because A church is a church, That doesn't mean the people inside it are divine or perfect. There are no perfect sinless faultless people.

This doesn't mean that the faults inside the church are exonerated, I'm only relaying, There is no human alive on earth today that you can "Follow" into grace and heaven, And It would be unfair if there was. We must all walk our own paths and make our own choices and fight our own demons. No one can do that for us. So people get upset when something they presume to be faultless or perfect begins to break down before their eyes.

Perfection and morality are concepts. No one will ever be able to master them, We can only try our best, And being upset at others for not being perfect, That only reveals the truth, That we would put more faith in those people to lead us Than to be held accountable for our own actions.

That's interesting that anything could come out of the mouth of a possessed person like glass, iron & rose pedals. That reminds me of a UFO story over a body of water where a craft over a boat was spitting out chunks of molten metal. I think WWI & WWII were Draco/Reptilian/Gray Alliance scripts and it's possible they employed disembodied entities. It's rumored Kind Solomon/Sol Moon also used them to build the Temple.

This is interesting. The Holy See is Santa Sede in Italian and anagrams to Satan Seed.
Holy See - Wikipedia
The Holy See (Latin: Sancta Sedes, Ecclesiastical Latin: [ˈsaŋkta ˈsedes]; Italian: Santa Sede [ˈsanta ˈsɛːde]), also called the See of Rome, refers to the jurisdiction of the Bishop of Rome, known as the pope, which includes the apostolic episcopal see of the Diocese of Rome with universal ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the worldwide Catholic Church, as well as a sovereign entity of international law.

Any veterinarian could provide expert commentary on what can be consumed and voided out one end or the other of a living body.
