Knapp has lost his mind. Won't be long until he's telling us there are squirrels running around on Mars.

In this connection, it might be pertinent to note that Bob Lazar's position is that "the bulk of the people are complete morons."

The bulk of people - at least those who take a passing interest in this subject anyway - seem to believe his lies. So I guess he's right.

Book Review – Dreamland: An Autobiography by Bob Lazar
Ryan Sprague November 25, 2019

(excerpt)

I have to say, overall, I was very disappointed and exhausted after finishing the book, almost to the point where I wish I’d kept the image of Lazar in my mind I had when I first heard about him as a teenager. I wanted so much to believe him. And while I still hold out hope that even a fraction of what he’s brought forward is true, the definitive book on his story was anything but definitive. Its a rather tragic story of a man who was used, abused, and left to pick up the pieces on his own. Many have asked Lazar if he regrets ever coming forward. And surprisingly in the final pages of the book, he admits that he does regret it. His reputation and life were completely shattered by his decisions. And perhaps that’s how it should be left. Maybe after reading this book, some will regret having done so. But for others, especially those hearing this story for the very first time, it will be mind blowing. And maybe it’s best they hear it from the man who experienced it. I just wish the book had been pushed back and more details included to give us a wider picture and scope of Lazar’s experiences.

Interesting. This review makes it seem more that Lazar was a patsy, rather than a conscious disinformation agent.

Lazar is a serial prevaricator. If one wished to postulate that he was a patsy for government disinformation regarding captive alien craft (and there is no such suggestion in the book review), how to explain that Lazar has also made public statements that are at widely at odds with documented events in the real world about other things, including his scientific credentials, the highly unusual circumstances of his second marriage, the conduct that resulted in his 1990 state felony conviction, the nature of the investigation that produced the 2017 "FBI raid" on his business, and so forth?

This may have been posted, not sure...

The Bob Lazar Corner
(Note: If you’ve linked directly into this page you should be aware this is all very old stuff! Like ancient! For a description of what this is and how old it it is, see this intro. For my current take on the topic, knowing what I now know, I’d suggest a look at what I wrote in September of 2018 on Lazar and his story)

Robert Scott Lazar first came into the public spotlight in November of 1989, during a series of interviews on KLAS-TV in Las Vegas. In these interviews, Lazar told of being hired as a physicist for an extremely secret project at Papoose Lake, a few miles southwest of Groom Lake. He told of working on disc shaped craft, presumably of extraterrestrial origin, as part of his work there. His actual time on the project was quite short, and went public with the information to protect himself (or so he claims).

I started looking into his story because it (and he) seemed so believable, if you can for a moment overlook the subject matter. However, what I found seemed to be at odds with the straightforward individual portrayed in his interviews. Unfortunately, I eventually came to the conclusion that his story is quite false. I say unfortunately, because I like a good saucer story as well as the next guy, and it would be really great if it were true. I’m convinced, at least in the Great Bob’s case, that it’s not. But that’s just my opinion, and that shouldn’t matter a whole lot to you. I would much prefer you think for yourself! So have a look at some of this stuff, do some more reading, ask a few questions, and decide for yourself.

In reading over the various pieces I’ve assembled here, you may notice many of them (particularly the earliest stuff) have a much more neutral tone. Some could even be construed as supporting Lazar’s story (I flinch in retrospect!). The writings really reflect my mindset at the time of their writing, and I believe it’s fair to leave them as is.

General Lazar Background
The Lazar Flaws
A series I did examining in detail certain “problems” with aspects of Lazar’s story. Its posting on the alt.conspiracy.area51 newsgroup resulted in the posting of “counterpoints” by Gene Huff. Unfortunately, I neglected to save all of Huff’s replies (At the time I didn’t think it would be any big thing!), but I’ve included those I have. If anyone has any of the missing responses of Huff’s, fire them at me and I’d be happy to include them.
Note: Some of the pieces have been updated due to additional information received since they were originally done. I’ve tried to identify where this is the case, both in my piece and also Huff’s response.

Misc. Stuff Related to the Lazar Story
Other Lazar Related Links
Glenn Campbell’s Area 51 site: Glenn has links to a whole array of stuff on the Great Bob.

Wit and Wisdom of Gene Huff: No, it’s not a contradiction, but rather a fun collection of some of Chairman Gene’s best. (Note: The Interceptors.com site is long gone, but it’s a shame Gene’s prose should be lost. So I’ve linked to an Internet Archive capture of that site in 1999. Some of the links are buggy and no longer work, but enough’s there to get the flavor. Be patient for the Internet Archive retrieval, and scroll way down to see it.)

Bob Lazar controversy continues.

Theoretical physicists discover that there is not just an island of stability in a periodic table, but there is actually a whole continent of stability and that periodic table can be extended with new elements indefinitely. And to the boot, all these elements inside "the continent of stability" will be stable at room temperature and maybe even can be made industrially! So much so for element 114 being impossible to keep stable.

Actually, now there is a new thinking, that goes along the line that the elusive dark matter actually consists of these super-heavy elements that were leftovers of the Big Bang's gluon soup.

Lazar has claimed to control a sample of stable 115 (or, in one early interview, 114 or some other number around there) for 30 years. George Knapp said in 2014 that he (Knapp) knows where the sample is hidden, and that he may someday go get it. Think of that -- these two men claim possession/knowledge of a substance that does not exist naturally on Earth and cannot be manufactured by humans, which if true would constitute undeniable proof of alien technology. Way past time to put up or shut up, don't you think?

Of course, I think Lazar's claim is a transparent fabrication, and Knapp's 30-year promotion of such Lazar claims is irresponsible and indefensible, although surely lucrative.

Even if Bob's claims about 114 turn out to be true, they are not proof by themselves of saucers at A51. He could have picked that information up while talking to someone about theoretical physics at Los Alamos or elsewhere. Or, perhaps someone at Los Alamos or A51 was in fact working on the problem and arrived at this conclusion, but it remained classified.

Bob Lazar might or might not be a fraud, but his fancy might had struck on something that is real. In the same way that Star Trek predicted teleportation, mobile phones, and plasma drives.
