hydroxychloroquine may help cure coronavirus

What do malaria and COVID-19 have in common? On the surface, not much. But according to early research, an old malaria drug called chloroquine might also work for the new coronavirus.

Could a decades-old malaria drug work to treat COVID-19? Elon Musk seems to think so, recently tweeting that it "might be worth considering chloroquine" for COVID-19. Although data are spare, studies so far seem to back up the billionaire entrepreneur’s suggestion.

"Elon Musk seems to think so" ... Thanks Elon but right now who cares what you think?

Chloroquine, or hydroxychloroquine, has been used to treat malaria since 1944. It can be given before exposure to malaria to prevent infection, and it can also be given as treatment afterward.

Malaria is a disease that is caused by a parasite, unlike COVID-19. Nevertheless, laboratory studies show chloroquine is effective at preventing as well as treating the virus that causes severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS, a close cousin of COVID-19.

Given chloroquine’s effectiveness in treating SARS, scientists have investigated if it will be an effective treatment against the new coronavirus responsible for COVID-19. So far, the initial trials are encouraging.

"There is evidence that chloroquine is effective when they looked at SARS in vitro with primate cells," said Dr. Len Horovitz, a pulmonologist and internist at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. "The theory of the experiment with primate cells was that chloroquine could be for preventing viral infection or as a treatment for viral infection after it had occurred. In vitro in these primate cells, there was evidence that viral particles were significantly reduced when chloroquine was used."

Both the virus that causes SARS and the virus responsible for COVID-19 belong to the same overarching family of coronaviruses. Researchers in China discovered that the protein spikes on the surface of the COVID-19 virus are similar to the protein spikes found on the surface of the SARS virus.

People become infected when those protein spikes bind to special receptors on the outside of human cells. Chloroquine works by interfering with those receptors, which may interfere with the virus’s ability to bind to cells.

"The way that it worked against SARS was by preventing of the attachment of the virus to the cells. Chloroquine interfered with the attachment to that receptor on the cell membrane surface," Horovitz said. "So it’s disrupting a lock and key kind of mechanism of attachment."

Researchers in China found that treating patients with COVID-19-associated pneumonia with chloroquine may shorten their hospital stay and improve the patient’s outcome.

There are more than 20 ongoing clinical trials in China and more scheduled to start in England, Thailand, South Korea and the United States.

Finland has a new problem. Tough our government has adviced strongly that seniors over 70 should not move from their home, they still do it in large numbers and go to public places and gatherings and dont give a hoot. Many of them dont care how they die and when, but care when their freedom is taken away. Curfews may follow if this continues.

We have a similar problem in the local city and townships, people are not taking this serious enough and still having large gatherings and groups...I was walking my dog in the park yesterday evening and two older women were walking together and wanted to come up to me and my dog to pet my dog and chat...I told them this is not a good idea with the virus spreading, no telling who may have it and they got offended by that...I said I didn't imply they may be carrying it but perhaps I was, we just don't know yet and they laughed it off saying I was being ridiculous...

I do not believe anything China reports on this pandemic, they have been lying since day one about everything...To me this is not good news but propaganda news...

...
Likewise, this is total BS coming from China. A country of 1.5 billion people and no new cases of Corona?

More disturbing events. It seems ever industry wants a bail out from the federal government. Be it airline industry, movies and television etc. Not everyone is worthy of getting a free handout. Where do these companies think all the money is coming from??

Im not an economy expert, or anywhere near, but let me ask:

Theyre making loads of money and apparently can still go bankrupt in couple of weeks?

They should help the small businesses that need the help and are really suffering now. The big ones, do they need any more money really? They have no fat in storage at all for the winter despite making huge sums?

I was in the grocery store today and noticed there’s been a shift to people buying more frozen foods rather than perishables. That section of the store was nearly completely empty. To comply with county ordinance only so many people are allowed in at a time. Something like five in when five leave. I was able to get eggs which I thought would be gone.

It makes me wonder. So many people are living on the edge, paycheck to paycheck. Is the government’s promise to give each person a couple thousand dollars a deal to prevent rioting in the streets? If you think about it, the whole ecosystem depends on everything running smoothly. Shutting down places of work, inability to buy food and gas, things will be getting dicey in short order. The idea being floated that everything will be back to normal in a couple of weeks is pure nonsense.

I will be fascinated to see how all this transpires in the next few months.

Some people believe we engineer our incarnations while in the spirit world. We decide what lessons we want to learn and who we want to surround ourselves with. If this is the case the contract would have a predetermined termination date and cause of death. If someone with the virus was regressed this information could be acquired and give us a better idea of what's going to transpire in the near future.

As above, so bellow
The best thing right now is to go into full countrywide lock-down. Sooner the lock-down starts, sooner will decease stop spreading. And sooner will economy get a chance to recover.

Now something topical. At least here in UK, toilet paper is premium commodity, might even become status symbol.

I've been regularly using Dr. Hulda Clark's parasite zapper, as I type this I have it running...I bought one many years ago and have used it sporadically until this pandemic...I have a zapper similar to this one below, mine is an AutoZap 5 model...

Truthiness

Just the number jump since last night is disheartening.

Here is the thing, I want to spread positivity, But I'm beyond that point now, I can no longer do this. I'm not leaving, But I'm going silent. at this point Telling people good positive things just seems insulting to people's intelligence. And it's insulting to mine as well to pretend things aren't as bad as they are.

So I'm just going silent.

It's bad.
