Shelves are not bare but most the essentials are low. we did stock up, not like id liked but were good for a month or two, I`m still working at a fast food cooking chicken Angrybird7 dont know how thats gonna pan out. the town is slow, 2/3rds of the traffic is gone, but we still sell the hell out of freakin chicken. I`m sure glad we got that new 5 burner gas stove awhile back, we were stove toppin and microwaving everything, sure is nice having a stove that set off the alarm. it looked the one in the 70`s show. Only thing i forgot to get me is some damn whiskey, ya`ll be safe and i`ll try to stay sane, i worrie for my wife she has copd stage2 and heart trouble we go in the 25 for her to have an angieagram or whatever and maybe a stint if the stint she has to stay over night, thats if they dont postpone it.anyhow Peace be with all

Hong Kong appeared to have the coronavirus under control, then it let its guard down - CNN

Hong Kong was first to go into a full lock-down and situation improved in just two weeks so much, that local government than relaxed rules. The result was that coronavirus immediately surged back up. So, HK now went into a lock-down second time.

Lesson learned, lock-down works, but don't celebrate too early.

It seems that Trump is underestimating coronavirus and is more worried about getting re-elected.

Louisiana governor says his state has the fastest growth rate of cases in the world

Louisiana has the fastest rate of growth rate of coronavirus cases in the world, the state's Gov. John Bel Edwards said during a news conference on Sunday, citing a University of Louisiana Lafayette study. Graphs provided to CNN by the governor's office show the rate of growth in the state on a steep upward trajectory similar to that of hard-hit Italy and Spain. The state has the third highest number of cases per capita in the country -- behind New York and Washington state, Edwards said.

Within a week, Louisiana has gone from reporting fewer than 100 cases to more than 800 as of Sunday night. "That's a ten time increase in seven days," Edwards said. Twenty people have died in Louisiana after becoming infected with coronavirus. The governor said the state could run out of healthcare capacity within seven to 10 days should spread continue as it has.

Boris Johnson will address the nation TONIGHT amid signs full coronavirus lockdown will FINALLY be imposed after UK cases rose 967 and death toll jumped by 54 to 335 - with shops to shut and police on patrol

View attachment 9194

After a weekend in which crowds flocked to parks and landmarks to take advantage of sunshine, Boris Johnson effectively put the nation on its final warning before draconian measures are imposed.

.
Given the typical course of this illness, it takes about two weeks for the effect of lockdown measures to be born out in the daily count of new cases, and about a month for it to be born out in the daily count of deaths.

National Guard arrives at the Javits Center in Manhattan to build a 1,000 bed triage ICU hospital - the first of four emergency hospitals in NY state - which should be open in seven days

Dozens of National Guard troops arrived at the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan on Monday to begin setting up four temporary hospital units inside the sprawling 1.3 million-sq-ft convention center. The Federal Emergency Management Agency will oversee the facility as well as staff and stock it. New York City is now the focal point of America's coronavirus outbreak, with more than 12,000 of the almost 40,000 confirmed cases in the US and 100 of the nation's 477 deaths as of Monday.

Thousands of National Guard troops hit the streets in coronavirus-stricken cities across 50 states as the Army's Joint Task Force 2 arrives in New Rochelle to disinfect synagogue at center of NY-area outbreak

The National Guard has moved into cities across the United States to help with coronavirus relief efforts by distributing food, sanitizing public areas and building temporary hospitals to prepare for an influx in critical patients. At least 7,300 National Guard members have been deployed to all 50 states, Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico as of Sunday, when President Donald Trump announced that he would be sending in more troops to the hardest-hit states - New York, California and Washington.

In New Rochelle, New York, where one of the nation's first coronavirus clusters broke out early this month, members of Joint Task Force 2 braved snowy weather as they arrived to sanitize and disinfect Temple Young Israel of New Rochelle. The synagogue was attended by Lawrence Garbuz, a Manhattan attorney who is believed to have sparked the outbreak in the area after becoming one of the first confirmed coronavirus cases in New York on March 2.

Boris Johnson announces the most draconian lock-down in British peace or war-time history: People are banned from leaving home except for food, medical treatment, ONE exercise per day or 'essential' work... or the police could FINE you

Boris Johnson plunged the UK into coronavirus lockdown tonight - ordering the closure of all shops selling non-essential goods as well as playgrounds and churches. Gatherings of more than two people will be banned in the most dramatic curbs ever seen in Britain in peacetime, as the government goes all out to stop the spread of the killer disease. In a grim address to the nation from Downing Street, Mr Johnson said weddings, baptisms and other social events must be cancelled to stop the NHS collapsing under the strain - although funerals can go ahead. People must only go out for essential supplied, medical treatment, or to travel to work if unavoidable. Going out for exercise will be allowed once a day, but parks will be patrolled to make sure there is no abuse of the rules. Mr Johnson said his message to the public was simple: 'You must stay at home.' The premier was finally forced into the draconian move amid fury that many people are still flouting 'social distancing' guidance, with parks and Tube trains in London - regarded as the engine of the UK outbreak - still busy. 'Though huge numbers are complying – and I thank you all - the time has now come for us all to do more,' Mr Johnson said.

Coronavirus in the U.S.: Latest Map and Case Count

It spreads way too fast, the US needs to do what the UK is doing, full lockdown, everyone home with few vital exceptions...Suggesting to people to stay home isn't working, the federal government is not doing the right things now, I'm upset my State hasn't been shut down yet...We are setting ourselves up for an Italy scenario but ten times worse...

Has Italy turned the tide on coronavirus? Daily death toll falls for SECOND consecutive day as disease claims 602 new victims offering glimmer of hope that national lockdown is working two weeks after it was put in place

The country remains the world's worst-affected by the coronavirus - with 6,078 people killed by the disease in total and confirmed infections at more than 60,000. But a drop in the rate of deaths and new infections between Saturday and Sunday night has indicated that the curve is finally starting to flatten out, two weeks after the entire country was placed into lockdown. Today, the trend continued, with the total number of confirmed cases rose to 63,927 from a previous 59,138, an increase of 8 per cent, the lowest rise in percentage terms since the contagion came to light in mid-February. Italy plans to extend its lockdown even further this week, including slowing industrial production, banning outdoor workouts and placing distance-limits on dog walkers (pictured top right, a supposed victim lying in the street after collapsing in Rome and picture bottom right, a woman fills out a self-identification form).
