Issues with Getting Older

For the last few years I've been having problems recalling actor's names while watching a movie. I guess that could be plaque build up in the brain. When I do recall it 10 to 30 minutes later I'll practice saying/thinking it in an attempt to lock it in.

That's it? Omg Toroid, you are so lucky.

I constantly find myself in the middle of a room wondering what the heck I am looking for.

No warning- I don't feel any pressure and I don't feel gassy at all and yet... boom, there it is. It's so embarrassing.

My eyesight is really getting bad.

I get so tired if I eat anything. Even if it's something small. I still feel like I need a nap. That's another thing, I need naps now.

A couple of weeks ago I found it odd that I needed glasses to clean my glasses.

Fratty and out of touch.
That's why you need someone to grow old with, Toroid.

Last week my GF and I were at one of our favorite restaurants. She asked me what our server's name was and I told her it was Lauren. I told her I remembered because she reminded me of that actress and she told me the actress's name was Lauren Hutton. I told her I always got Lauren Hutton confused with that other blonde who was in the 1970's version of King Kong with Jeff Bridges and she told me I was thinking of Jessica Lange. She told me she loved Jeff Bridges in that cult movie that involves bowling and I told her she was thinking of The Big Lebowski. No lie... that was an actual conversation.

When you grow old with someone, each of you only has to remember half of everything. Makes life a lot easier.

Entropy.

I have a list ..... but as far as I can remember, am not particularly flatulent :)

Well, I didn't say it happened daily. lol

It just never happened when I was younger. I always knew. Now there are times when I am taken completely by surprise.

As Above So Below
I don't have the impact strength in my hands I once did, I still have good grip and strength but after recent hydraulic work I have two injured knuckles and a sprained finger from minor impacts on my hands from loosening tight bolts...Ten years ago if I did the same thing the injuries would have been less and would have recovered quicker...

Grandpa's issue was hearing... he would walk around in grocery stores and let them rip...

When finally confronted about it, he said he thought he was getting away with it, because he thought he was letting out silent ones...

Never realised that there were so many old crumbly-geriatric coffin-dodgers on this site. Makes me feel like some kind of spring chicken.... it's great! :laugh8:

…. But remember that you must fight against it … keep your mind alert … keep posting … you're being watched … no giving in to morning, afternoon and evening naps or before you know it …….

You've amassed an incredible amount of knowledge for such a young age. You must have been some kind of prodigy.
