The British government's newly revamped Covid data portal indicates that there have been more than 126,000 cumulative hospitalizations for Covid since March in the UK:The last seasonal influenza report prepared by the Office of National Statistics indicates that there were only 5,505 hospitalizations in England for influenza between week 40 of 2018 and week 15 of 2019, and a peak of 692 in one day. There were up to 3,000 hospitalizations a day in England at the peak of the Covid-19 epidemic in early April.

Why don't they just provide masks for people? That's what they do here. Everywhere I go I get offered a mask for free.
So, just cities are doing it? I've been to Walmart, Costco, Safeway (groceries), Little Caesars Pizza, Bank, My mechanic, and the Federal Registry office. Each place offers free masks and free hand sanitizer at the entrance.I've seen a couple places giving out masks but that was near a bigger city which I don't go driving to anymore since they have a big surge in cases lately...I haven't seen anyone giving away masks at the small town I shop at, but the local Walmart there has a big wall full of them for sale, 17.95 for a box of 50...

I got a call early this morning from my mom, she said my uncle who is in Kentucky in a nursing home has the coronavirus and is very sick...Apparently someone went to visit a relative in that nursing home and he/she had the virus and got it spreading there now...
