A New More Powerful Strain Of Flu

As Above So Below
A New, More Powerful Strain Of Flu Has Just Hit Colorado

The CDC says the milder strain of influenza that had been nailing people from just after Thanksgiving through early February is now being replaced by a stronger, nastier strain. It’s one that makes people a lot sicker than the previous circulating bug.

The report from the CDC came out within the past few days, but I think those of us who work in emergency rooms, clinics, or offices have noticed something a little unusual over since mid-February. That is, people who were down for the count with fever, chills, coughing … and just a general position of being laid out on the stretcher or exam table when we went into examine them. Sicker than what we were used to.

And these folks were generally lighting up with a positive Influenza A test.

Now here’s where I’m going with this one— the earlier germ was an Influenza A strain—an H1N1.

And so is this new guy. It’s an “A” and is classified as an H3N2.

The problem is our general testing can’t tell the difference between the two. It can usually only say it’s an “A” or a flu “B”. Yet our patients were toxically sicker, many with pneumonia or dehydration, as well as a sky-high fever that just wouldn’t quit. We are talking easily 103-104 readings here.

The number of people who can’t crawl out of bed has jumped, as has the number of people we have admitted to the hospital. And the story of “onset” is universal: “I was feeling okay one minute, and then like I got hit by a truck the next”.

The main complications: pneumonia, out-of-control diabetes, uncontrolled asthma, heart attacks, and stroke (from the tremendous strain these diseases put on the body).

Now, things get worse.

This year’s flu season, which we were hoping would be mild and be drawing to a close early is now a shown a new, ugly face. It’s worse, and it’s going to be here for a while. The CDC is estimating we will now be dealing with this one until May. And at highest risk are young kids, even though all age groups are susceptible.

Damn, this is scary stuff, I've been really conscious about things like this since my uncle passed away with pneumonia that would have been preventable if he hadn't thought he could tough it out. It's just plain scary that our seasonal sicknesses are at a point that they are mutating and putting people in early graves. I even went so far this year as to get pneumonia and flu vaccines which in fact did make me slightly ill at the time, and then about a month later I got the flu and was down with that, And then a week after that it came back, I still haven't' gotten my voice back from the second bout, I am literally Mute But I'm not in any pain, The only symptom I currently have is that I am completely Mute, I don't know if that's a blessing or a curse, I never vocally spoke a great deal anyway, And now, I can't say stupid and awkward things to people in person, So, Some people may consider that a curse, But it's not in my case.

With that being said, I will say this for the billionth time, I strongly suspect Biological terror attacks to be the cause of these super bugs, But, Much like Godsmack, I stand alone in that belife, I suppose :/

Of all the terrors man can imagine, not one is greater than that of a plaque.

"They sickened by the thousands daily, and died unattended and without help. Many died in the open street, others dying in their houses, made it known by the stench of their rotting bodies. Consecrated churchyards did not suffice for the burial of the vast multitude of bodies, which were heaped by the hundreds in vast trenches, like goods in a ships hold and covered with a little earth.”

The swine flu is horrible, I knew a guy that had that once he caught it in Florida, He almost died. :(

I really did have it but didn't make the call though. Came down with it in what seemed like minutes and was prescribed Tamiflu which worked wonders.

Stuff like that scares me If it weren't for movies like outbreak that I saw as a child, I've got all these mixed up feelings about some of the viral strains being bioterror attacks, But every time I mention it, people are just like, " Meh".

My thing is, Do people honestly believe terror has just stopped and taken a vacation or something? I mean I get it, The only way to defeat terror is to not be terrified, I totally get that, But in the off chance that some of these viruses are terror attacks isn't ignoring them like they aren't happening Kind of like ignoring a totally avoidable danger?

Maybe that's why people are all like "Meh" at the very notion of a viral terror attack, Because if there are people with such money and power and resources that want us dead, There isn't a whole lot we can do about it :(

It has no face which doesn't fit the current standard.

Cross specie viruses are the cause.

There is no face and for me doesn't fit the current standard of modern day terror. If it were to happen it would more likely come from an extremely white green eyed monster who seeks a personal vendetta against society. Certain viruses cross the specie barrier, bird, pig and horse can give us the lemsips. In 1998 a human strain was introduced to a population of pigs and the desease became widespread. Same I'm guessing occurred with avian. We gave it to them and that gave it a way back.

Don't get me wrong, Some viruses do mutate, IT can and does happen, But still, As the paranoid person I am, I look around the world and I see economies collapsing all over the world, Stock markets plummeting, Nations at war, Even though they call it peacekeeping efforts, People are still dying, and things like hate and greed are as wide awake and active as ever, For me I just see it from a different angle I guess. There are all this hate and all this war among nations. To me, While Yeah, I see how viruses mutate, People tend to think of a terrorist like they are a caveman, without the means and capability to do anything other than blow stuff up, And I admit. It The media makes it seem that way. But, consider this.

In every conflict in human history, All sides make the same mistake of devaluing their adversary, Think back to world war II and the propagandized Media View of what an Asian was. Think of What the Nazi party, Propagandized the Jewish people to be... My point on this is people tend to always make their enemies into something less than modern intelligent sophisticated human beings, Because It's easier to kill a monster than it is a thinking feeling person.

When people think of Terror, They think Caveman with hate and Rocks, But I pose this Question, What Happens if a Geneticist becomes radicalized?

In theory, It could happen brother.

Welll... if a terrorist created virus is released, and it mutates into something even worse, the Terrorist loses.

It's a paranoid rabbit hole I've been falling down for years, Sadly.

Consider for a moment, What we have seen from terrorists, A radicalized individual who will without moments notice blow themselves up, Thinking they are serving some greater cause.

Also consider, If we create A nuclear bomb there is just about as much of a chance of the bomb blowing before we can transport it to its target. If that bomb blows before it's supposed to, Then We suffer the majority of the fallout from that. yet we still make them.

War is based on killing and driven by hate brother, Logic rarely ever falls into play in scenarios like killing and war :(

The 1918 influenza pandemic was the most severe pandemic in recent history. It was caused by an H1N1 virus with genes of avian origin. Although there is not universal consensus regarding where the virus originated, it spread worldwide during 1918-1919. In the United States, it was first identified in military personnel in spring 1918.

It is estimated that about 500 million people or one-third of the world’s population became infected with this virus. The number of deaths was estimated to be at least 50 million worldwide with about 675,000 occurring in the United States. Mortality was high in people younger than 5 years old, 20-40 years old, and 65 years and older. The high mortality in healthy people, including those in the 20-40 year age group, was a unique feature of this pandemic.

Terrifying... here is a headnote from a page I've been reading, "

This article is from 2015, But it's officially from the Smithsonian. My thing is, Does anyone remember the news back in 2015, To paraphrase it, it went something like, "OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD THE TERRORISTS! OH MY GOD!!!" Then suddenly the narrative changed to, What will trump tweet today... Something happened with the news and therefore, People everywhere think suddenly Terror is a problem of the past. It's suspicious at the very least.

Anyway here is the headnote from the article in the link.
"Is the World Due for Another Massive Plague Outbreak?
It is highly unlikely, experts say, but a plague-based bioterror assault is another matter"

Ask Smithsonian: Is the World Due for Another Massive Plague Outbreak? | At the Smithsonian | Smithsonian

I'm just saying, Yeah, I realize I'm on the paranoid edge, Just a few articles away from sanity by this point, But what get's me is, It's a possible scenario that "Could" play out.

I think there will always be a part of the population that will develope immunity. Terrorist created viruses might do alot of damage, but mankind won't cease to exist so easy.
