Lifted right off the episode title of The Black Vault #86

I have no affiliation to John Greenewald and I don't use social media so if he's a boor I wouldn't know it. But he does seem dogged in his approach and he is taking great pains to sort this all out. Far too many people hear something and run away with the part they like because it confirms an idea they have without really looking at all the rest. The Devil really is in the details and the more muddy the waters the easier it is to have the desired affect. I think it's to get people clucking about UAPs and like a magician, look where they want you to look while something else entirely is going on. There are precedents for this.

Ep. #86 – AAWSAP & AATIP: Why Confusion Continues To Reign and Questions Continue To Linger - The Black Vault

I haven't made it all the way through and was listening while I was leaf blowing, so it wasn't like I was attentively talking notes. This episode says about what I have been thinking - the confusion is deliberate and that there are a cast of recurring characters that have their own agendas. Not saying that there hasn't been some study made of UAPs but along with it there are those who have no problem making a few bucks.

At best folks like Elizondo and Mellon are doing this for constructive purposes; this is some sort of intelligence operation. There is a reason why we are hearing about it in the news now. You look at global power struggles right now and see some frightening new weapons I think this is all part of it. At worst they are opportunists, or some mixture.

But at the core of this the confusion is, as I have been saying, maskirovka. UFOs and the attendant interest in them has been useful along those lines in the past.

I have been waiting for the past four years for Elizondo, Mellon and company to release some compelling news about UFOs. Nada, in my estimation. As much as I hate to say it, the New York Times has reported more stories than this other group which keeps saying they have incontrovertible information to tell the public. We’re still waiting!

This all makes my head hurt.

From what I just listened to it seems a senior DIA official contacted Bigelow/BASS after reading Hunt for Skinwalker and immediately had an experience with some small weird technological gizmo inside one of the ranch buildings.

I'm thinking it was the ball that Obi Wan was training Luke with. And while we're at it - yeah, let an untrained blindfolded kid wave a ******g lightsaber around inside a spaceship. Hope you don't accidentally cut a hole in the wall and get blown out in to space .... but I digress. ...

From that point on in whatever form Bigelow/BASS got the cookie to set up and/or contribute some sort of study group or groups. It may have been a 21st century version of Project Outgrowth. Who knows exactly who did what when or if it really did involve the paranormal or UFOs. The now familiar cast of characters certainly take no pains to clarify anything and the 'ufo community' laps this stuff up like they put down a saucer of milk.

What the hell, just ordered Skinwalkers at the Pentagon: An Insiders' Account of the Secret Government UFO Program. Why not just have a look for myself? I liked Hunt for the Skinwalker.

I feel better about spending a few bucks on that than I did that brownfish of a film Jeremy Corbell made.
