Yeoman 2nd Class Joshua Kelley, whose stage name is Harpy Daniels, announced on TikTok in November that she would be the Navy's first 'digital ambassador,' highlighting her journey from performing on board beginning in 2018 and growing to become an 'advocate' for those who 'were oppressed for years in the service.'

I bet the Marines are just eating this up! Every one of them I've known believed that sailors were switch hitters and constantly made fun of them.

As an aside, if the military wants more people to join up they should probably look at groups who they previously didn't want. As in, people over the age of 35, people who have very useful talents but can't quite measure up to physical fitness standards and/or have health conditions, and so on. Even during the 9-11/War on Terror years when they were desperate for personnel, I rather doubt they would have had me due to being overweight (but still fairly fit) and having mild asthma. Today, if they announced they would seriously consider forty somethings with good education and strong work history (my best traits) I would talk to them about it.

Something to hide? FBI REFUSES to hand over document that Republicans claim PROVES Biden was involved in an illegal bribery scheme with a foreign national​

The FBI missed a noon deadline Wednesday to provide a document allegedly linking Biden to a cash for access 'criminal scheme,' angering top Republicans who issued a subpoena last week demanding the unclassified record. After the deadline passed, the top Republican on the House Oversight Committee James Comer, R-Ky., accused the FBI of 'refusing' to provide the document to his committee. 'The FBI's position is 'trust, but you aren't allowed to verify.' That is unacceptable. We plan to follow up with the FBI and expect compliance with the subpoena,' Comer said in a statement to DailyMail.com.

This really isn't surprising. The police department I used to work for would do incredible legal gymnastics not to release anything to anyone. Author Ron Webster had one helluva time gaining access to the files on the closed investigation of the Beverly Hills Supper Club fire. When they finally deigned to allow him to see them, a state trooper stared a hole through him the entire time. He also found out that there were many more photos taken of the fire scene than were in the files, and the photographer had been "allowed" to just take them home when he retired. Meaning, KSP could conveniently deny access to them on the grounds that the agency was no longer in possession of the photos.

Biden admin tells Americans to brace for border chaos as Title 42 ends, migrants surge​

The Biden administration is telling Americans to prepare for a "chaotic" period at the southern border, as the U.S. faces a potentially historic migrant surge at the southern border with the ending of Title 42 -- with officials saying that it will be a while before the plan to cope with the surge shows results.

Title 42, the public health order that allows for the rapid expulsion of migrants at the southern border due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ended on Thursday night with the ending of the COVID-19 national emergency. In the days leading up to the order's end, agents have been encountering historic levels of over 10,000 migrants a day – with authorities already preparing for releases of migrants without court dates onto the streets.

The Biden administration has repeatedly touted a wide-ranging plan that includes stiffening Title 8 penalties, an asylum rule to make those who enter illegally ineligible for asylum, cooperation with Mexico and a surging of resources and personnel to the border.

However, even with that in place, top administration officials -- including the president -- have painted a gloomy picture of what lies ahead in the coming days.

"It’s going to be chaotic for a while," President Biden told reporters on Tuesday, even as he touted international cooperation with countries like Mexico.

On Wednesday, he made similar remarks as he urged Congress to provide more funding.

President Biden remained mum on Friday as chaos continues unfolding at the southern border following the expiration of Title 42.

Title 42, the Trump-era policy that was implemented during the COVID pandemic that deterred border crossings due to health concerns, lapsed overnight, prompting thousands of migrants to come to the US-Mexico border hoping to gain entry.

Press were allowed in the Oval Office for Biden's bilateral meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez Friday, but White House staff pushed reporters out of the room as they shouted questions to the president.

Biden sat silently for over a minute, offering a smirk and even a chuckle before the press were ushered from the room.

The Biden administration is facing intense political heat for its handling of the U.S. southern border, even more so with Title 42 no longer in place.

The Department of Health and Human Services confirmed earlier in the day that a migrant Honduran teenager died while in U.S. custody at the border.

Biden provided a line on White supremacy being the main threat to the nation including the graduates as they go forward with their lives after school.

After he hammered home the dangers of White supremacy, he assured his audience he wasn’t just saying that because he was at a Black school.

The sheer magnitude of Biden family corruption uncovered by the House Oversight Committee can only be described as breathtaking. It is also deeply alarming. If the fruits of Chairman James Comer’s investigation are exactly what they appear to be, Joe Biden may have jeopardized our nation’s security by selling out America for cold hard cash.

Documents show that over $10 million in foreign money flowed like a river into more than 20 shell companies and LLCs created for the Bidens’ financial benefit, said Comer. Much of it was then surreptitiously shuffled around various accounts before it landed in the hands of nine members of the president’s family. Those companies have no apparent business purpose other than to serve as a receptacle for hiding cash derived from suspected influence peddling schemes overseas.

The incriminating evidence comes from thousands of subpoenaed banking records, wire transfers, and electronic transactions contained in more than 170 suspicious activity reports (SARs) that were flagged by banks and sent to the criminal division at the Treasury Department. The Biden administration refused to cough up those records until the Committee recently forced its hand. There are still more documents to be examined, suggesting that the Biden profiteering could far exceed the millions of dollars already tracked.

In Washington, where corruption and graft are endemic, the Bidens appear to have taken it to dizzying heights. While greed was the likely motive, concealment was the key to success. In just one deal alone more than a million dollars involved 16 different wire transfers ran through five different bank accounts before the funds eventually landed in Biden family hands. This and other transactions were well hidden "in a web of deception and corruption," noted committee member Rep. Byron Daniels. Cycling through this many companies serves no other purpose but to disguise illicit, if not illegal, payments, he concluded.

The sights, sounds, even smells from the border are horrifying as helpless families are left in squalid conditions.

In the streets of El Paso, Texas, babies scream out from under tarpaulins tied to garbage cans.

And it’s coming to a city near you!

In a grim hark back to the emergency pop-up hospitals of the pandemic, New York is discussing plans to create a tent city on Central Park to house migrants.

And, like the Hoovervilles of the Great Depression, every town from sea to shining sea should expect their own Bidenville soon.

In Portland, Maine – about as far from the Southern border as the Biden administration is from competence – a basketball arena is housing hundreds of asylum seekers.

In Denver, officials expect to burn through $20 million dollars in just six months dealing with the crisis.

But what does our president have to say about all of this?

He says it's going to be ‘chaotic for a while’.

Chaotic? Chaotic is getting out of the parking lot after a Taylor Swift concert. This is a deadly humanitarian disaster that you, Mr President, and your band of and open-border buffoons have created.

I'm looking for a term, slightly derogatory, but not too much, that would describe a person that's trying to make a living by constantly making noise and attracting attention. Something like "talking heads", but much noisier. The term I choose is "sqauwker", but don't know if it fits the spirit of the language. Actually, that term is not even in a dictionary. Many media people, politicians and particularly political activists would fall into this cathegory.

Yiddish is incredibly expressive but perhaps too obscure. Put together it means a nosy/busybody who's full of shit. Squawker would serve well enough I suppose. You're in London, right? I have no doubt there's some expressive local idiom on tap.
