I wanted to let our new members know that we have different styles available for you to use, at the bottom of any page to the left or right you see the word "Hydrogen", click on that and 5 themes are there to choose from, some light and some dark styles...enjoy...

If you didn't know, Alien Expanse has a twitter account, its the only social media used for the forum currently...

    The Expanse (@alien_expanse) | Twitter

We are working on a couple of projects that you will enjoy, I don't want to let it out of the bag yet, but coming very soon...

I have also continued working on the Xenforo 2.0 project to upgrade the forum, I don't have a completion date yet, its not going to be rushed, I want to make sure everything is stable and set when we do the upgrade...

In case anyone gets a message in their browser, I had to reinstate the SSL certificate because of coverage to a couple other websites I have online, it can take up to 24 hours to establish, usually in a few hours though...

My browser was all upset. Reminded me of the neighbor's dog, who freaks out if his human gets a new hat.

Chrome is especially anal if it doesn't like certain things on a website lol...I would have started that process yesterday late at night if I had known it was going to take so long to re-establish...

    Apologies for any inconvenience...

No problem. I just had to keep telling Chicken Little to load the page anyway. Thought maybe it would catch on after a while, but no. And now the internet is dead here, so I'm using my phone as a hotspot. My whole day was like that, actually, but now I've had a beer and everything is fine.

"Yeah chrome wouldn't let me connect unless I completely ignored any security issues," But it all hit at once in the same day, I use one touch VPN sometimes and someone actually hacked my VPN, Completely nonrelated to here, But, I thought to hack a VPN was next to impossible.

Be careful of one-touch VPN guys.

    That's nothing, guy's.

Try doing anything internet related when you have to use Windows XP. Imma bought ready to pull all my hair out.

I hate chrome but it's the only one I can get to play any videos and even then it will only play youtube.

It is making it almost impossible to get in here. It keeps timing out the page.

If some are not aware we do have a media repository for sharing almost any media type, your own or from online sources, everyone has their own pages and there's a shared section...You can see this on your profile click the media tab or on the top of every page, the Media drop down under the banner...

Apparently when you are ready to pull your hair out, you lose the ability to spell simple words. :laugh8:

Firefox works better than Chrome on Windows XP, I have a station computer with XP, but the best browser for XP is Opera, it doesn't need as many resources and runs smoother...You may need more RAM too...

Ya, know, the ISP, tech guys loaded Opera on my computer and I tried using it but thought it was a waste of time and deleted it. Maybe I was premature on that and should have given it more of a chance. It looked to me as though all Opera did was piggyback on other browsers?

I'll be performing some updates to the Xenforo software this week sometime, you probably won't notice a thing since its mostly related to security and back end software updates...

I have been thinking about Xenforo 2.0 again lately, and just to refresh the status of this major update, I was in full swing and spent a decent amount of money on 2.0 last year and have it 90 percent completed...I had full plans to implement this change by December last year but there is something very important to consider in making any forum major changes like this, and that is the consideration of you...Most members at the time did not want to any major changes made to the forum, all our themes would change and how the forum functions to a certain extent would have changed...

With that in mind, I shelved 2.0 for the time being, and even myself, as much as I like the new look of 2.0 and there are 2 themes I purchased which I think are awesome, I am quite used to how the forum is right now and part of me was reluctant to change it...So a few weeks ago I took a behind the scenes poll and it seems those whom I asked did not want to make the change quite yet and I kind of feel the same way, so we will keep the forum as it is and I'll publicly poll this again sometime later possibly next year, no rush...

Next month we will move to a larger server, we do not need it quite yet, but as we grow we will need more resources and we shall have them without limitation...I'll be doing some updates to our styles (themes) this week too and some performance updates...

If you have any suggestions and/or wants for AE let me know and I'll do my best...
