I listen to after the paracast as a bit of weekly absurdism.

For about 20 minutes the loathsome USI randall calgary and some ridiculous Vazquez lady paranormal expert and official decided itd be cute and funny to completely dolisrespect and belittle cannabis users. Saying such things as ‘rock the ganja’ and ‘smoke a reefer’, they extolled how no one who uses cannabis has any credibility and usage demotes disrespect.

Not like their mental handicaps are more disqualifying than simple medicinal cannabis use.

Obviously Im annoyed enough to write a post.

I have several friends who use cannabis. One has multiple sclerosis, without cannabis he can't stand or chew his food. Two others have extremely painful conditions that only cannabis alleviates.
As a police officer I had many a drunk, crack cocaine or heroin user trying to take my head off but had good relationships with the pot heads I came across.I truly believe it's only illegal in certain countries because people can grow their own and governments and big pharma can't make any money out of that.

It just angers me to hear ignorants pontificate on something they have less than zero knowledge about.

I live in a picturesque little town in the Rocky Mountains. Pot has been legal here for years, first as "medicinal" and later full on retail. The medicinal thing was a bit of a joke, because anyone could get a prescription in a few minutes. We have two retail cannabis shops and well over half a dozen liquor stores. You can smell pot smoke on any street corner, but usually not in any one place very often unless you are outside that one guy's house.

There has been little in the way of consequences beyond increased tourist and tax dollars. There is little crime here, the cops are mellow but ready to do whatever needs doing. I don't use the stuff myself, but it's no worse than whiskey and stoners are notoriously un-aggressive. Then there are the many real medical benefits. It's hard to find a rational argument against it.
