Alec Baldwin Accidentally Shoots and Kills Someone

Pietta is a very good quality SAA replica, and by Italian law must meet standards for proof testing and safe design. Far as I know, the only way to make an SAA or clone fire without pressing the trigger is by a hard blow to the back of the hammer, overcoming the "safety" notch of the sear which holds the hammer when at rest. This is why these guns should be carried with an empty chamber under the hammer, as they can discharge if dropped on the hammer. Baldwin was holding the gun, he didn't drop it. Even if the hammer was all the way down and resting on a live primer it is not going to fire without a blow to the hammer.

Alec, this was probably an accident but you still pulled the damn trigger. Man up and quit dragging this out. Take a misdemeanor negligent homicide type deal from the DA, do your community service, and write a nice check to Hutchins' family.

Alec Baldwin's lawyer brushes aside damning FBI report showing he pulled trigger on set of Rust - contradicting star's earlier statements: Attorney says new medical investigator's report ruling it was an ACCIDENT is the 'critical' information

The fatal film-set shooting of a cinematographer by actor Alec Baldwin last year was an accident, according to the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator. The determination came following the completion of an autopsy and a review of law enforcement reports. An earlier FBI analysis of the revolver that Baldwin had in his hand during the rehearsal suggested it was in working order at the time and would not have discharged unless it was fully cocked and the trigger was pulled. Following the medical investigator's report, Baldwin's lawyer Luke Nikas told Fox News: 'The critical report is the one from the medical examiner, who concluded that this was a tragic accident.' The attorney continued: 'This is the third time the New Mexico authorities have found that Alec Baldwin had no authority or knowledge of the allegedly unsafe conditions on the set, that he was told by the person in charge of safety on the set that the gun was ‘cold,’ and believed the gun was safe.'

Baldwin says ‘Rust’ crew members know who to blame for horrific shooting

(Excerpt)

Alec Baldwin claims "every single person" on the set of "Rust" knows who to blame for the tragic death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Hutchins died when a gun Baldwin was holding fired while practicing a shot for the film "Rust" on the New Mexico movie set Oct. 21. The group had been rehearsing in a small church on the set.

"I know that every single person on the set of the film knows what happened, and the people who are talking loudest about what happened or speculating about what happened were not on the set of the film," Baldwin told Chris Cuomo during an appearance on his podcast. Baldwin called out specific media outlets for harping on the shooting, including the L.A. Times and The Hollywood Reporter.

"They are talking on and on and on about what if this and what if that and have dined out on this and the thing that they have in common is nobody was there. Everybody who were there, they know exactly what happened," Baldwin concluded. "They know exactly who's to blame."

Alec Baldwin whines to Chris Cuomo that the media is out to get him and insists he did NOT pull trigger in fatal Rust set shooting of Halyna Hutchins - despite FBI report saying he DID: Awaits DA decision on whether he will be charged

In an interview with Chris Cuomo on his new YouTube show, The Chris Cuomo Project, the actor said he'd grown tired of waiting for a decision from prosecutors, but that he has been told not by his attorney not to push for one. The interview appears to have been filmed before the FBI report was made public but it was only published on Tuesday morning. Baldwin and Cuomo - who is making a comeback after being fired by CNN last year- commiserated over what they described as an unfair and possessed media that is hell-bent on destroying them, with Baldwin taking special aim at The New York Post and 'anything [Rupert] Murdoch' [owned].

Alec Baldwin feared Trump comments on ‘Rust’ shooting would inspire ‘violence’ against him

Alec Baldwin looks defeated as he faces criminal charges over fatal on-set shooting and offloads $29million Hamptons home to 'shield his assets' and 'protect himself' from looming legal bills

Alec Baldwin looks defeated as he faces criminal charges

Alec Baldwin's 10-acre estate in Amagansett was put on the market for $29million last week. Legal observers tell DailyMail.com the decision may be part of an effort to shift and potentially shield assets from lawsuits that could cost him a fortune. The legal experts speculate Baldwin could be tempted to place millions into a trust for his eight children or buy property in Florida. New Mexico prosecutors have indicated they may charge Baldwin over the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his movie Rust. Baldwin purchased the estate in 1996 and listed it days after a judge ruled he was primarily responsible for firing the loaded gun that killed Hutchins. The Hutchins family is pursuing a wrongful death lawsuit against the actor.

Alec is still getting off easy and he has the resources to drag this out as long as possible. A normal person would have already been indicted and convicted and lost everything they have.

Yeah, he's without a doubt personally responsible for this tragedy.

Just letting staffers shoot can randomly on the set was asking for trouble. Nobody needs reminding that firearms are dangerous.

Alec Baldwin and Rust female armorer are CHARGED with involuntary manslaughter over his fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and face up to 18 months in jail

Alec Baldwin and Hannah Gutierrez-Reed are to be charged with involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. New Mexico First Judicial District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies and Rust Special Prosecutor Andrea Reeb announced the charges in a written statement today. Both Baldwin and Gutierrez-Reed face a maximum of 18 months in prison if convicted. Dave Halls, the Assistant Director, has pleaded guilty to the charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon. 'If any one of these three people—Alec Baldwin, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed or David Halls—had done their job, Halyna Hutchins would be alive today. 'It’s that simple,' said Andrea Reeb, the special prosecutor appointed by the DA to the case.
