Mankind has been gazing into space for some time now, but scientists still haven’t found any evidence that intelligent life exists in our neck of the cosmic woods. The universe is, of course, huge, so we normally just assume that our inability to detect alien civilizations is due to the fact that they’re just too far away. A new report by researchers at the University of Cadiz in Spain suggests that maybe that’s not actually the case, pointing to a very different possibility: We’re simply blind to their existence.

Human scientists have an unfortunate tendency to look for alien civilizations that are, well, human-like. This preconceived notion that life, as we know, exists elsewhere could be hampering our ability to detect alien life hiding in plain sight, the study explains.

The work, which was published in the journal Acta Astronautica, discusses the possibility of alien life existing in a way that humans quite literally cannot fathom. It’s both scary and fascinating to imagine, but it does make a good bit of sense when you suspend your disbelief for a moment.

“What we are trying to do with this differentiation is to contemplate other possibilities,” Gabriel de la Torre, a neuropsychologist who co-led the study, explains........."

Spirits? Angels? Demons? Or interdimensional and/or time travelers?

Possibly through computers that appear to start thinking for themselves?

I can imagine a lot of ways they might exist - Still this proves nothing.

Nice post AV, and I have thought the very same thing lots of times. You can't know what you don't know. So we could be living in a hive of other entities, earthly or otherwise and we may never know.

I still have a hard time wrapping my mind around some of the new ideas the theoretical physicists have been coming up with, like the idea that there may be parallel universes or other dimensions which occupy the same space we do. Sometimes I sit down in my living room at night and think about the fact that in the same space there may be a universe where the dinosaurs did not become extinct. :ohmy8:

Of course as pointed out already, it would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to prove the existence of some of these bizarre worlds and life forms with our current technology.

I agree about the proving part with current technology, but I think by using our current tech, it has opened up new concepts and theories about what forms of life may be possible...

Rats MAY be alien spies== could be -who knows?

Seriously? - Try this:

Microorganisms {bacteria, viruses, yeasts} - colonize and appear to act as a colony to bring down
the Human bodies they attack.

Of course those brick headed Evolutionists will try to convince you that it is just an unfortunate anomaly
in the Evolutionary chain of 'random' events.

Maybe not! - Alien species now among us in the form of drug resistant microbes threaten the entire
Human race.

Let's wake up Man - All that exists is backed by intelligence - And that intelligence is not necessarily friendly!

You have to consider that the scientists that investigate these topics, don't actually want to discover the truth, or know that if they do, it wont matter as they will be silenced. Silenced as in them being paid off or killed. I'm not saying all scientists that look into topics like these are aware of this, but that extremely influential and powerful groups have infiltrated this community, and have done for some time. Just a theory, I don't have any proof, just something to think about.

If you think about our civilization, and how we've developed technologies, for instance communication techniques, and how we apply those methods to search for something that is so different than us, it becomes obvious that WE aren't the ones doing the looking, but other beings are, who are far more advanced than us both physically and spiritually. Some alien races are afraid of how we behave, and our history does not create a very good resume.
