That's a great restoration job!
Looks different than how they found it originally but then they did move it all to higher ground when they flooded that area . I think its the most complete temple in Egypt, its really quite beautiful.
Can you actually walk in those towers or are they solid stone.
You can walk inside them they had access for the priests to go up inside the pylons to put the flags out on the poles at the top.
Archaeologists discover Egypt's 'lost golden city'
Egypt’s ‘lost golden city’ found after being buried in sand for millennia
What is Zahi's current job title?
Egyptian Archaeologist as far as I can tell , he is also a self proclaimed Pharaoh of everything in Egypt . Women have to be careful he doesn't get them alone in one of his Pyramids.
My latest sterling silver Ankh. Its heavy at 15 grams but not to big , its about the size of the one I posted above but this one is fairly thick in size.. It was very tarnished when it arrived this morning so its been in storage somewhere for quite sometime. I disinfected it and polished it so now it looks like new. I wonder where it has been (?) it is not shop bought and is a custom made one off.
