More and more Americans are reporting near-constant cannabis use, as legalization forges ahead.

(Excerpt)

Cannabis is not benign, even if it is relatively benign, compared with alcohol, opiates, and cigarettes, among other substances. Thousands of Americans are finding their own use problematic in a climate where pot products are getting more potent, more socially acceptable to use, and yet easier to come by, not that it was particularly hard before.

In terms of long-standing risks, the lack of federal involvement in legalization has meant that marijuana products are not being safety-tested like pharmaceuticals; measured and dosed like food products; subjected to agricultural-safety and pesticide standards like crops; and held to labeling standards like alcohol. (Different states have different rules and testing regimes, complicating things further.)

I mean, everyone knows I'm pro-cannabis, But I admit, I smoke it nearly non stop. When smoked in amounts as I tend to, It can be, Well to be fair it makes life easier, Till I'm out, The problem is there is no resource that doesn't run out at times, On Days that I'm out of pot, Those days are waking nightmares on my nerves.

That's the only true Drawback of the deal, Eventually, One gets to used to having it, then to not have it is problematic... Psychological, physical, The philosophy of addiction is finite. What matters is, When a heavy smoker runs out, It's a tough time. Those tough times can be so severe, one will wonder why they ever began the habit honestly.
