Archaeologists are in the process of uncovering this carving. Excavations are ongoing, and much of the tomb has yet to be excavated. So far, no human remains have been found in the tomb.

Its beautiful.. As they say in the article the work is 'ongoing' so hopefully we will know more soon. So much hidden under the sands .

Here's one on a Priestess of Hathor from Febuary this year.

I having problem understanding their need to be burried in gigant tombs underground. When I go I will be cremated and released into the universe again. Wouldnt want any parts of me or belongings to remain left behind... on earth

Thats 100 % opposite of their ways.. just my personal view,, lol

Its virtually recreating their house, its where they live when dead. Their mansions for eternity .The relatives used to have an above ground chapel where they would leave food and drink and gifts for the dead, like we do leaving flowers and gifts for our dead . Big money big house and of course the Pharaoh was the richest of all so he ( or she ) had the biggest underground house of them all. Remember when Ancient Egyptians died they were supposed to get up and go again in their own bodies. They were resurrectionists not reincarnationalists. I hope you get your wish when its your time .

now I see maybe the rock is actually off in the background, but only appears close and by his hand. He might have short fingers and provides illusion of holding a rock, but just it's far in the back.

the ancient "tools" depicted in the carvings don't match it's shape, but it is an interesting find nonetheless.
