Methuselah died at age 969 then the great flood happened. Enoch never died, but was translated. Did their DNA differ from ours? Was our DNA modified after the flood giving us shorter lives?

Is There a Natural Explanation For The Unnatural Ages in Genesis?
Hebrews 11:5 Commentaries: By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death; AND HE WAS NOT FOUND BECAUSE GOD TOOK HIM UP; for he obtained the witness that before his being taken up he was pleasing to God.

Sounds a lot like the Sumerian Kings List, which records rulers living for thousands upon thousands of years. One of the first kings lived around 12 sars, which is about 43,000 years? I think a sar is 3,500 or so years. I could be wrong, though.

Maybe someone did tamper with DNA after the flood. I think what's more likely in this scenario is perhaps the bloodline grew weaker and more human. You can see this in the list, as well. When time went on, there were less "demigods" and descendants of gods. Perhaps that's why kings seemed to dwindle in their reign after the deluge... reigning for around 20 years is a drastic change from 43,000 and 28,000.

Just my 2 cents.
