Ancient Remains of Giant Petrified Trees?

I have to say that this is almost more disturbing than anything else I've yet come across. As a kid I saw the giant trees being cut down and hauled on logging trucks. Today no child has any idea, nor would they even believe what I saw as a child; a single log bigger than the Kenworth that was hauling it. It's truly sickening to think about, but this, this is something even more disturbing. I've been looking in to this for a few days and frankly I'm horrified to think there could once have been tree's towering ten miles high: What are actually being told in films like Avatar?

Well...

This is fine and good. But lets bring some facts into this.

1. The Devil's Tower is igneous rock.
2. "Petrified Wood" is sedimentary.
3. The hexagonal "columns" are an indication the magma cooled slowly and crystallized.

There is debate about whether it is the neck of a volcano or an intrusion into sedimentary rock (which means ground level was once significantly higher than the tower).

Some twelve thousand years ago an object possibly an asteroid was intentionally directed to the North American continent. The impact caused the ice sheet covering it to flash melt removing hundreds of feet of soil. What was left on the landscape were the cores of ancient volcanos. There would be examples around the world of the fallen gigantic trees. The image in post 3 was probably a lava pool. In the video it says the Tepuis are two billion years old.

ever look at how large the dinosaurs are ?
how much food would they need to eat to be that big ?
the vertebrae of elephants is almost fused to support the weight of them.
so if many of the dinosaurs showed up in your front yard, gravity would crush them to the ground...
dragon flies got to a 3 foot wingspan, you need much more air for that to happen...
what does this mean about the past ?
it sure helps the expanding earth idea,
enough water and dust show up from space, maybe not at current numbers, but that has yet to be proven that it does not change.
the redwood trees are the last of the mega fauna on earth.
the CO2 levels are just to low to support that kind of plant life anymore.
if you drop all the emotional attachment to science, you figure something out,
we are likely on a dying planet that is running out of plant food (CO2)
a 10 mile tall weed sounds fantastic, why would that disturb you at all ?
I say get a remote viewing group to go look at it and see what they find, that is if you want to know what it really is.

The cell-types of different plants and tree species vary. Some species' hexagonal cells are more pronounced and defined than others. The closer the cells are to being the stalk of a plant or trunk of a tree, the more hexagonal they become. Hexagonal shapes are usually found only in biological and organic forms. The gigantic petrified hexagonal stone cells of the Devils Tower "Stump" are also encased in a petrified facia or skin covering found only on biological entities.
Lava plugs and flows, when cooling do not form into crystaline units, but form into hardened runny, blobby or stringy-like formations, not hexagonal stone cells with petrified facia encasing them.

Although magma formed Devils Tower, it was probably never part of a volcano. Most geologists agree that Devils Tower is an igneous intrusion, a place where magma from the Earth’s mantle welled up between chunks of sedimentary rock.

Evidently The Tree of Life. This guys page is pretty interesting and where I got most of the aforementioned. I will say that looking at some of those last images you posted aren't the same as I used to see them: They do look like fossilized tree remains.

We really don't know much at all about the process of fossilization. Recently it's been shown that this can happen much quicker than anyone had previously thought possible. There may explanations we just don't yet have.

How Tall Can Trees Grow?

Not to burst your bubble but the maximum tree height is in the 400-425 foot range.

How tall can a tree grow?

This one says 453 feet.

So either way it is less than 500 feet.

The devil's tower (for example) exceeds maximum tree height.

The tallest known tree is about 375 feet (a California Redwood).

Perhaps today but what about 65 million years ago?...What do you think the herbivorous dinosaurs ate?...There had to be large enough numbers of these dinos to keep the species alive, so it's safe to assume there were large enough numbers of these beasts to feed...
