Possible Bigfoot Captured on Video in Oregon

A man believes he captured evidence of a Bigfoot on video while he was hiking in the woods. Mike Bodewitz stated that the creature was watching him from behind some trees as the man was strolling along a ravine.

Bodewitz posted the video to his TikTok account and the footage appears to show a shadowy figure standing behind some trees. In fact, he went as far to say that the elusive creature has watched him numerous times while he has been out walking in the same woods.

In the video, he can be heard describing the events, “I was walking down in a ravine, into the brush and then I notice a Sasquatch is watching me.” He went on to say that he couldn’t tell whether the creature was male or female because from where it was standing behind the trees it was too dark to distinguish any facial features.

While it could very easily have been nothing more than a tree stump, Bodewitz is convinced that what he saw was a Bigfoot. “I saw it with my own eyes. I didn’t want to get any closer to make it nervous or anything but it’s clearly keeping an eye on me,” he said, adding, “I felt that I needed to back away and move further up the hill to give it some space.” “I have had them make noises to tell me I’m too close or not wanted.”

He went on to say that it couldn’t have been a tree stump because the area in which the creature was videotaped was high off the ground and that he was walking downhill when he captured the footage. When asked how close he was to the creature, he stated that he was between 25 and 30 feet away from it.

While the news report doesn’t specifically say where the sighting took place, there is a hashtag on the TikTok video that reads #OregonSasquatch.

The video of the alleged Bigfoot can be seen here as well as on Bodewitz’s TikTok page.

standard question: why are you lugging the camera and filming yourself trudging down a ravine?

BTW - no actual film in that camera to be 'filming' with anymore. Like we don't really 'dial' phones anymore but still say it

When I'm hiking in the mountains the last thing in my hand is my camera or phone (I have a digital camera I take camping sometimes)...If I see something interesting I'll stop and take a picture or stop and take a pic of Kobi but I'm not just recording video as I walk through the woods and ravines...I guess if I was in Bigfoot territory (where regular sightings are) then I would be set up differently and probably seeking evidence of bigfoot, otherwise I don't see the need to open record video whilst hiking...

Ulster County woman: Bigfoot carried garbage cans across lawn, damaged shed, banged on house

There are more claims of a Bigfoot sighting in the Hudson Valley. Jane Vespe, who lives in Highland in Ulster County, says large footprints started appearing in her yard on Vineyard Avenue in January– and she believes it's Bigfoot.

"I saw the eyes. It stood about 10-11 feet tall, and my heart was racing," says Vespe. She said she's seen the creature in the dark four times, including the most recent time on Thursday night.

"These eyes were really red, and I looked out my window and I saw it. It was scary because it was standing on my lawn, and I knew it was out there," she says. Vespe says she frequently hears strange, loud noises at night, and that the creature has carried garbage cans across her lawn, damaged a shed and often bangs on her house.

Very cool. This is where some knowledge of the local geography comes in handy. The Sasquatch reports from Hyde Park and Pawling are separated from this one in Highland by the Hudson River. So unless Bigfoot has an EZPass or can swim really well there's that natural barrier that would present an obstacle and require (I would think) two separate groups of a very rare creature.

Vineyard Ave - and that area in general - isn't really very far away from anything. I recently posted a pic of the Hudson River from a 7th floor view - the other side of the river you see is Highland. Not far but not nearly as densely populated - all apple orchards and farms. Lots of bears.

next time I'm down on the water I'll take a pic. wouldn't be an easy swim. not impossible but I'd think there would have to be some intense motivation to do it

It's one clip shown repeatedly. It's a bear, Run over and give it a fruit pie offering and see what happens next.

The guy should have walked over and filmed it - I bet the tree was rotted and not just snapped clean. Looked like it got up on its hind legs to knock the tree over, probably to get to something tasty.

Just for laughs, here you go. If the Bigfoots in Hyde Park and Pawling want to visit their friends in Highland or vice versa this is the natural obstacle that makes it unlikely. Not impossible, just extremely improbable. That river is deep and there are spots where the current flows both ways.

3136 feet. This would probably have Michael Phelps huffing and puffing.

This is what it looks like from the east (right) side. Deceptive. You don't see it but the embankment is between 20-30' high and there is a rail line that borders the length of the river. You can hear people talking and doing stuff over in Highland.

They smash through rotting wood to get insects no problem. If you keep bees, watch out because bears won't hesitate to destroy the hive boxes to get honey.

I grew up a couple of hundred yards away from where I took that picture. First I've heard of any of this.

Cool. You would think the current round of commercial off the shelf electronics would provide a few interesting gadgets to pull out of the tool box. I was thinking one of those long term silent observation blimps might be just the thing that finally catches some unequivocal footage. Of course, you'd probably need a Nieman Marcus catalog for that one.

I dubbed the second shot 'fat guy using binoculars' . Probably not at night (unless they were NVG) but that's what it looks like. In fact, looking at this man's gut and that shot .... looks yowie-ish.... just saying .....
