I haven't used cannabis in about 20 years, but I did smoke fairly often when I was much younger.

The main thing I want to mention is that around the first 6-12 times that I smoked it, it had no affect on me. I couldn't get high! Finally, one night as a friend and I were smoking in a cemetery, the effect suddenly kicked in.

    I was absolutely delighted.

Can anyone explain why I couldn't get stoned at first?

No, I can't explain it but, it happened to me with hash. It took 6-12 times before that worked. Which is weird because it is the same as pot only stronger, right?

I don't bother with anything stronger. I can't afford a bad habit. I can't afford to pay attention.

Nivek, you gotta do something about this board, dude. It takes 6-12 tries just for me to get a page change or open a new topic. It can't be just me. It doesn't happen anywhere else that I visit.

I cannot find anything wrong, and I've had no other complaints, I will keep looking but I'm not seeing any issues...There is nothing wrong with this forum as far as I can tell, have you tried a different browser or different computer and see if you get the same issue?...

I have tried different browsers. I don't have access to another computer. Sorry, I should not have put this here. I derailed the thread. I lost my cool because I am at the point to where it is actually deterring me from visiting the board. :(

I assure you there is nothing causing that problem from here, I suggest trying another computer, like a public access computer or a friends computer to see if it's the same way...I don't know what else I can do, I have looked extensively and I can't find anything wrong with this forum...

I suppose the only positive thing I can say about a lot of the nonsense I got mixed up in is that I can speak from experience about it. I was quite fascinated with Fear & Loathing and probably became a bit too Gonzo for my own good.

Newfound Cannabis Compound May Be 30 Times More Potent Than THC
But we still don't know if it causes a high or has medical benefits.

Two newfound cannabinoids have been discovered in the glands of the Cannabis plant, and one of them may be at least 30 times as potent as the high-inducing compound THC.

No one knows, however, exactly what effect these cannabinoids actually have on the human body.

THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, plugs into receptors in the brain and alters our ability to reason, record memories, coordinate movements, perceive time and experience pleasure. Cannabis contains over 140 similar chemicals that interface with receptors throughout the body, but as far as we know, only THC can induce a mind-bending high. Now, scientists have uncovered two new cannabinoids, one of which structurally resembles nonpsychoactive compound CBD and the other of which looks like THC but could elicit stronger effects — at least in theory.

The THC look-alike, named tetrahydrocannabiphorol (THCP), seems to interact with the same receptor as THC, the receptor known as CB1, according to a new study published Dec. 30 in the journal Scientific Reports. The key difference between THCP and its cousin lies in a chain of atoms jutting off the newfound compound.

When I find something I like, I usually carry it to an unhealthy extreme. Gave up drinking for this very reason, wish I could give up food except ya gotta have it to live. I've tried pot a few times and never thought it was anything special, although it was probably low grade stuff compared to what is out today.

Contactless marijuana vending machines launched in Colorado amid pandemic

Colorado dispensary has begun offering marijuana products in vending machines to allow for contactless purchases during the coronavirus pandemic.

Anna, a company that produces what CEO Matt Frost called "tricked-out vending machines" for such products, has installed the first ones at Pueblo's Strawberry Fields dispensary, according to the Denver Post. The machines are set to be installed at a second dispensary, Aurora's Starbuds, later in the year, Frost said.

Frost told the newspaper he saw the opportunity after lockdowns caused demand for curbside pickup to skyrocket in the state.

"There are experienced cannabis customers who don't necessarily need that one-on-one interaction with a budtender. They know what they want before they walk in, they're ready to go in and out. By doing this we're giving more time back to the people who do need hand holding and want that education from a live person," Frost said. "With COVID and social distancing and contactless, definitely we have an appeal there, as well."

The company installed four machines inside the dispensary, which still require a check-in and ID. Customers have the option to pay with crash or debit cards. A company app that will allow pre-orders is also forthcoming, according to the Post.

The machines will not contain edibles, but Frost told the newspaper he is in talks with gas stations and retail stores to potentially install machines containing non-psychoactive products.

"The partnership that we're about to strike I have to keep under wraps for now, but [it's] a very significant CBD distribution opportunity that we're excited about," Frost said. "I think you'll be seeing this rollout absolutely in the fall."
