I ended smokin some the trim i had. Not to bad a taste but the high is awesome.
2nd week into flower and buds are as big as the last time when i harvested . and they grew 2 inchs last night.
A really good friend stopped by and had a surprise for me. his ol grow buddy from the late 70`s that was in high times back than now lives up north closer to the Canadian border now. well he is still at it. and alot better. i was given a couple of joints of his to try, but he is really wanting a good grower down here, but besides all that the stuff his new stuff was measured at 38% thc its a new strain thats not out yet and wouldnt tell me the name, it was so smooth, the best i`ve ever smoked. he had some seeds of it but was really hesitant about letting any out. i would be too.
I'm so jealous.
Hey wait a minute! Did I spot one of Erwin's faeries flitting about in the background?
well, no ... not really ......
Did he say anything about the plants you are growing right now? Did he have any tips or words of wisdom that you didn't already know about growing plants?
No he didn`t have a chance to look at them. they were still in dark at the time. He was more interested in the new strain he had me try and possibly growing one. he had 5 seeds of it but was wanting quit a bit of the harvest after. I told him i`m new to all this and quantity is not my strong suit right now. my quality is if i can get my drying and curing done properly this time around. I felt bad saying no to a seed as much as i would love to have one of a new strain. he didnt have many and i`d hate to mess up, and besides i`m a indoor grower and the yield is 1/4 of what outdoor harvest is ussually.
No not usually, a good grower can get practically the same yield per plant indoor or outdoor...If you stopped nipping the tops of your plants and let them grow you would get more yield...
I haven`t fimmed due to my tremors, and these two clones were never topped. the reason these are small i had them bent over & tied to the side of the planter and had them curving around the edge going up. than i changed my mind and let them back up and put the both of them in one pot witch messed things up along with soil from the previous grow that i flushed good that also messed things up.Gorilla Breath - Buy californian cannabis seeds - Humboldt Seeds UK
And i found out a name of that stuff , Blue dream bee Jesus., i guess its a cross between blue dream , honey bee, and jesus. maybe one day i can create my own strain like ol boy and yes yeild i would like just aint gotten there yet, halfway though this flower and its already twice as much as last time i harvested.
Well it just seems to me you're overly micromanaging them, it looks like you're growing bonsai trees lol, jk, in my opinion let nature do it's thing...Just mimic the conditions they would have outdoors with less tampering and micro-managing and you will be impressed with their growth and don't misunderstand me, you're plants do look good...Not every plant will come out right either, that's why you grow 2 or 3 plants like you've been doing, a good grower grows more than he wants because sometimes shyte happens, so the extras will ensure the desired yields or you will have plenty of extra yield they all come out well and also plants like company, 2 or 3 plants together and they are happier than being alone...
Bonsi. Thanks. But yea spend my effort controlling environment. Less is more with the plant. No stress. Lil pruning if at all.. Right now i just looked at plant after cranking up the light and all the suger leaves are pointing slightly upward toward the light. Sweet spot as they call it.
I think it works out really well sometimes if someone wants to grow something to observe it in its nature state through its entire growing cycle and you know the plant's tendencies and needs, like you said just focus on the environment for them and observe how they react and grow...Last year I decided to try growing broccoli in my garden but never grew it before...I started 4 broccoli plants and kept them watered and whatnot and just watched them, when it was close to harvest time I was unsure of exactly how they were suppose to look...They looked like the right time to pick but I had some doubts in my judgement and didn't pick any at that time...Well I should have because a few days later or maybe a week later they flowered, too late...I didn't get any brocculi that first year but I learned so much about that plant, this year I'll get a great yield of broccoli...
It does become an enjoyable hobby. Growing things is a real ego boost when they come out just right or even better than you expected.
I'd tell you guys about my first garden but, you most likely wouldn't believe me. You would think I am exaggerating. That's how amazing it was.
This jack is starting its 5 week, its been outside for 3 weeks. I think the dam thing is a autoflower cause i seen a white hair coming out from a node or two. I wanted it to be a regular long veg to see how massive it gets. Oh well ill find out soon. And the gorilla breath is in week 5 of flower.
