The UAP detection project is about to go up. Hopefully this project will be able to gather concrete data on UAP's.

Before he left the precast Chris was talking this up. I'm glad his efforts are bearing good fruit.

Wow those came out beautifully.

This is an amazing achievement and a bold new step in the right direction - the target locking and camera tracking alone is a titanic achievement. Those ATFLIR pods that the F-18A Hornets use cost $3M each, and Chris and Ron pulled off a similar targeting capability on a shoestring budget - and they're going to make all of the footage available online in real-time for free, if they've gotten the internet functionality working as planned.

Chris deserves all of the support we can give him - this kind of totally public research effort to provide empirical data on this phenomenon is precisely what we've been lacking for the last 70 years. This project could be a game changer.

O’Brien spoke about the San Luis project on the Dark Matters 9/8 episode with Don Ecker.
Here's the link, Chris joins the show at the 31:50 mark and covers this project right away, then remains with them til the end of the 2-hour program:
Dark Matters Radio | KGRA-dB Archives

But incredibly, Don doesn't mention Chris' name in the show title, even though he spent an hour and a half on the program discussing his project and sharing stories and taking questions from the audience; Don just called it an "open lines" show, which makes it sound like there's no guest. Smh.

That's awesome, well done Chris...q37

It would be good to see Chris here again and post about this, he hasn't logged in for a while...q46

I'm so glad that Chris took this tact. I have no doubt he'd be the first to agree he was just spinning his wheels on the Paracast. Money was pretty much slow to come with Steinberg controlling the purse strings After all Gene would be the first to tell you those hair pieces will set you back some dinero.

When I listened to O’Brien on Radio Misterioso, he said he wanted to start a podcast a half hour in length or so. He wants to cut out the bloat of normal UFO/paranormal talk shows.

From Facebook. Chris O'Brien:
Phase 1 COMPLETE! The second camera at the UFO Watchtower has been installed—complete w/ motion activated owl to keep the birds away. This has been a highly successful and awarding road trip. All goals reached/mission accomplished! I want to thank everyone who helped make this phase 1 a success! Thanks and thank you for your interest in UFODAP-SLV!!!

I just read an article saying that the San Luis Valley camera project thingy that we've all heard about for the last ten years launched on Sept 11, 2018? Can anybody confirm that? If so - how do you get to it? Thank you :)

Our Strange Planet website hasn't been updated since July. He needs to keep his backers informed as to what he is doing if he wants people to fund his project.

I felt that this San Luis Valley project was the one UFO endeavour that had some legs to it. It seems like it has had numerous setbacks and Chris O'Brien hasn't been keeping investors up to date.

Agreed. It's been 10+ years since we've been hearing about it. In comparison, it took 5 years from the time the keel was laid until it was finished & christened - the new USS Gerald R. Ford - the first carrier in the new class.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that perhaps there were a few more resources available to build Ford

Frankly, I've lost interest in CO's project for the same reason. It sounds cool but ..... yawn ... what were we talking about?

Agreed. When I first read about it I was thinking "This is exactly what we need." Then a year went by, then 3 years, then 7 years, then 10 years. Then I saw on (or around) Sept 8 of 2018 a big announcement that its up and running. Then as quick as that announcement came another announcement said its down because of technical issues - then that's the last I heard of the thing. When I first heard about it - it was presented as if it were "right around the corner". Then once a year it became "its right around the corner" - until 10+ years has gone by.

I noticed there is a GoFundMe w/ $34247 dollars donated and it was set up in Sept 2018. People have donated in increments of $25, 50 & 100. I'd be pissed if I was one of those people. Give a GD update to what in the hell is going on with it and if you can't figure it out - give them their money back (yeah I know it doesn't work like that).
