In the movie there was no dialing device. From the clip above it looks like they had drivers for the ring. Dr. Daniel Jackson said he could get them home if they went through the gate. When they got there he said he needed the correct symbols which were later located in a cave. There was no dialing device on the other end.

You're right they do not show a dialing device on Abados in the movie but in the series it's seen on Abados if I remember correctly...

Yeah, I saw them take apart the dialing device and there was a large ruby looking crystal inside of it under the round red/orange object. I'm not clear who built them possibly the Ancient Builder Race. In another episode I saw them turn a gate parallel to the ground and a ship dumped some commodity into it which I thought was clever.
