What do you mean by "the whole coop's been knocked over"? Are they all sick or just scared?
My in laws are extreme personality types, to put it mildly. They travel in a pack and can take any situation and make it horribly worse., including this one. Very much shut ins and they view the world through their lens which is CNN 24/7.
There are three women that travel in from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan on a daily basis using mass transit. My wife travels in once or sometimes twice a week from upstate also using mass transit. How anyone could think you could play those odds and NOT catch
something is beyond me. There are still plenty of disgusting things out there that can make you sick that aren't covid. Everyone is immunized and have already or are about to receive their boosters and the fifty two other shots they'll probably mandate. With this variant if one has it they probably all do. My opinion is that is that if the worst is that one has the sniffles then just keep doing what you are doing and ignore it. But no, there will be shrieking, throwing rocks at the Sun, the cursing of Trump because it's all his fault - and seriously - will probably cause this current gaggle of aides to quit. Demanding tests and vax cards and trying to apply corporate policy and procedures to these women from Far Far Away doesn't work, they'll go elsewhere in a blink. She should be in a facility and the time for heroic action to keep her at home is nearing an end, and this **** will accelerate it. Last report from 5 minutes ago she was screaming at top volume (normal all day every day) and throwing her shit like a chimp. So, again, **** covid and the horse it rode in on, we have other problems.
