People test positive for long periods of time, like weeks.

How long after I get COVID-19 will I test negative?

'This will set a dangerous precedent': Canadians react to Quebec decision to ask unvaccinated adults to pay up

Quebec Premier François Legault announced Tuesday that unvaccinated adults in the province will soon need to pay a "health contribution."

"The vaccine is the key to fight the virus," Legault said at a press conference. "This is why we’re looking for a health contribution for adults who refused to be vaccinated for non-medial reasons."

"Those who refuse to receive their first dose in the coming weeks will have to pay a new health contribution."

The amount is still unknown but Legault indicated it would be "significant."

He added that these adults who are refusing to get vaccinated are putting an "important burden" on the province's healthcare system.

"I think it’s normal that the majority of the population is asking that there be a consequence," the premier said.

"Yes, we will continue to look at spreading the use of the vaccine passport but I think we have to go further and I think that right now, it’s a question also of fairness for the 90 per cent of the population who made some sacrifices. I think we owe them this kind of measures."

Following the announcement of this new "health contribution" to come, many Canadians took to social media to respond to this upcoming measure, some in support and some against the move.

If it's only 10% of the population of Canada that is not vaccinated and for the past 2 years over 50% of the hospitalized patient's in Canada are the unvaccinated, then it won't be long before we run out of people will it? So where's the fucking problem?

I got another test this morning and have a negative result, so I'm heading into work to finish the day since my boss requested me to come in as soon as possible after I told him of the test result...

Supreme Court votes 6-3 to BLOCK Biden's vaccine mandates for private companies in huge blow to White House COVID plan

The Supreme Court has blocked President Joe Biden's vaccine-or-test mandate for private companies with 100 or more employees, in a decision handed down on Thursday. The high court did however allow a vaccine mandate for employees at health care facilities receiving federal dollars to go into effect. In a 6-3 decision the court’s conservative majority concluded the administration overstepped its authority by seeking to impose the rule on large US businesses. Roughly 84 million people would have been affected. The decision to allow the mandate on healthcare workers in Medicare and Medicaid-funded settings fell 5-4, with Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh siding with liberal Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Stephen Breyer. It's the latest blow in a devastating day for Biden, who just in the last few hours failed to gin up support among Senate Democrats to scuttle the filibuster and pass voting rights legislation.

Worked half the day yesterday and here at work now for half a day...I still feel kind of off but comes and goes in waves...I'll get congested and coughing with a wave of fatigue, then it will clear up and go away for a bit only to return later...After today I won't be working again until Tuesday next week...

You are not better and won't be for awhile especially if you fight the feeling and try to resume your normal routine. What you are going through right now is just past the middle of what you will experience before you are better. I went through the same thing and I am sure Pigfarmer will second that. Pretty soon (a few days from now) you will find yourself unable to stay awake and will sleep for up to 12 hours at a time and then still only be able to stay awake for like 20 minutes before you need to sleep again. Then there is the eating problem. You will feel ravenous but after one or two bites of food you will be nauseated for the rest of the day. Of course, mine was an extreme case and lasted around 6 weeks. The first two weeks I had a really difficult time breathing and although my lungs were full of mucus, I was unable to cough it up/out.

Any lingering symptoms I'm experiencing are mild, noticeable but mild, and won't affect me in that way...Different variants too, omicron is much more milder fortunately...
