Covid makes a comeback: Experts warn cases are surging again with one in 40 Brits infected - so do YOU remember what you're meant to do?

Leading experts fear the outbreak, which surveillance data suggests has left one in 40 in England infected, will continue to pick up pace in the coming weeks. GP surgeries in parts of the country have already started cancelling appointments because the uptick has left them with 'exceptionally low' staff levels. Professor Danny Altmann, an immunologist at Imperial College London, called the surge 'definitely something to worry about'. A Covid monitoring project, ran by health-tech firm ZOE, has found that rates have been on the up for a week. It predicts nearly 1.5million people in the UK had symptomatic Covid on Monday - up by a fifth from 1.2million just one week earlier (shown in graph, left). Levels are highest in London, the South East and North West, according to its data.
