An elderly relative of mine had it on the weekend. He was symptomatic and had tested positive on a lateral flow test ahead of a family luncheon for Mothering Sunday (British equivalent of Mother's day). I went to see him afterwards and sat with him and spoke to him for a bit in his living room, as he was resting in an arm chair. I was probably exposed but feel fine at the moment.

I hope he's recovering well and hope you don't fall ill, two of my nieces had covid earlier this month, mild symptoms, I wasn't around them, they live a few hundred miles away...

He seems to be largely recovered now, and I have not come down with any viral symptoms in the meantime.

I found out today my mother had Covid a few weeks ago...Meeting her for lunch today she told me that a few weeks back her doctor prescribed Paxlovid and she got well only to get Covid again the following week with mild symptoms...She's now fully recovered...

Owner of COVID testing company accused of defrauding US government out of $83M​

Zishan Alvi is also accused of giving patients false negative test results.

An Illinois man has been indicted for allegedly cheating the U.S. government out of millions of dollars for his pop-up COVID testing company and allegedly lied about test results.

Zishan Alvi, 44, was the co-owner of Laboratory Elite, headquartered in Chicago, which purported to offer two types of COVID-19 testing, PCR tests and 15-minute rapid antigen tests, according to an indictment from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois.

The company also offered a service where people could pay a fee to receive expedited PCR test results.

Between February 2021 and February 2022, Alvi and others at his company allegedly devised a plan to seek reimbursements for tests under the government's Health Resources and Services Administration, which covered the cost of COVID-19 testing for those without health insurance.

These tests were either never performed, performed in such a way that the results were unreliable; or had already been paid for by patients, according to the indictment.

Additionally, to reduce costs and increase profits, Alvi allegedly told employees to use less materials for the PCR tests including reagents, which is a substance or mixture the test uses for a chemical analysis. Using less of these materials made the tests unreliable, the indictment said.

Over the course of this period, Laboratory Elite received more than $83 million from the HRSA Uninsured Program, some of which Alvi allegedly transferred to a personal account.

Pfizer Whistleblower Suit Dismissed: US Army Buyer Means Normal Safety Standards Don’t Apply​

On March 31, United States District Judge Michael J. Truncale ruled against Brook Jackson, the Pfizer whistleblower who was suing that firm and its clinical trial subcontractors on behalf of the US government for substantial irregularities it their clinical trials practices. TrialSite News last reported on this case here, after the oral arguments on Pfizer’s motion to dismiss were heard on March 1. The opinion in USA v. Ventavia Research Group, LLC; Pfizer, Inc; and ICON, PLC granted the motion to dismiss with prejudice Ms. Jackson’s “presentment” and false record claims, the heart of the case. Judge Truncale also dismissed a retaliatory firing claim without prejudice, meaning this claim could possibly be refiled under a different legal theory. For a motion to dismiss, the court assumes as true the facts alleged by a plaintiff and then decides whether said facts amount to a legally cognizable claim. In one aspect of this ruling, the judge noted that the COVID-19 vaccine contracts at issue involved the Department of Defense

My sister-in-law refuses to believe it's over - still wears two masks and scuttles quickly through the streets giving everyone else the stink eye for no being masked. I see people outside riding bicycles wearing them, driving alone in their cars.

It's unfortunate that some people have been psychically damaged by all this horseshit.

More Than 20,000 Military Members Became Sterile After COVID Vaccination​

The COVID data that I’ve read through and analyzed this week is so shocking that I had to check my math twice. I must have made a mistake, I thought. Out of the 1,195,000 active duty military members in the USA and the 778,000 reserve troops, 863,013 developed nervous system diseases in the six-month period between August of 2021 and this past January. That’s 43% of the troops.

That’s according to data from an attorney named Thomas Renz, who just presented the military vaccine data to a US Senate committee. Renz has also put the US government on notice with a warning: All COVID vaccine mandates from the US government must end immediately.

Biden Quietly Signs Bill Ending National COVID Emergency​

President Joe Biden signed a resolution Monday officially ending the COVID-19 pandemic national emergency more than three years after former President Donald Trump imposed it. Trump issued the declaration in March 2020 at the onset of the pandemic to give the executive branch more power to direct funds to help fight the pandemic. It has been extended 13 times since then, according to the Department of Health and Human Services.

New Covid variant Arcturus is already in more than HALF of US states with California, New Jersey and Virginia emerging as hotspots - after strain sent infection rates skyrocketing in India​

A new Covid variant that has sent cases skyrocketing in India has already reached more than half of states in the US, data suggests.

Health chiefs first detected 'Arcturus', a highly infectious spin-off of Omicron, in New York in late January. But it has since spread to 26 more states and triggered 235 cases, with hotspots emerging in California, New Jersey and Virginia.

The variant — known scientifically as XBB.1.16 — is believed to be the most infectious version of Omicron to date, but there is no evidence that it is more deadly than other currently circulating strains.

In India, it is believed to have single-handedly driven a 13-fold surge in cases within a month. Hospitals in the country are on red alert and some states have even brought back masking restrictions dumped more than a year ago.

Face masks may raise risk of stillbirths, testicular dysfunction and cognitive decline due to build-up of carbon dioxide, study warns​

• The NIOSH eight-hour threshold limit for safe CO2 concentrations is 0.5 percent
• The researchers found that almost all of the studies exceeded that standard
• Mask-wearing can expose children to dangerous levels of CO2 in just 3 minutes

One study the German researchers looked at found that just 0.3 percent prolonged CO2 exposure to both pregnant rats and young mice led to brain damage, heightened anxiety and poorer memory. Another found that male mice exposed to 2.5 percent CO2 for four hours — equal to 0.5 percent for humans — resulted in the destruction of testicular cells and sperm. A third study found that three percent CO2 (equivalent of 0.8 percent for humans) in pregnant rats caused stillbirth and birth defects.
