Disenchantment is the show for you.

It's Actually really good if you give the characters a chance, It's damn good. It's like Futurama reformated with a different cast of characters on a different world, Damn Good, Check it out.

I can't say enough good things about it, you're missing a damned good show if you pass it up.

I got a Netflix notification that it is out. Really miss Futurama. Bender was my favourite character. Hopefully this will scratch that itch.

I think it will, But the first couple of episodes are the weakest of the 10, It gets much better quickly once you get the whole cast figured out :)

Didn't know about that. Thanks! Been a fan of Groening's work ever since Life In Hell showed up in my local underground newspaper 2/3 of my lifetime ago. This looks like fun. Lots of veteran actors, so it should go well. I think they all have way too much fun making these shows. Nice work if you can get it.

I started watching last night... so far so good! I loved Futurama and was obsessed with the Simpsons back in the '90s. :)

I didn't want to Dig up this Old thread, I hate thread resurrections. Oddly enough, Netflix has Renewed Disenchantment, For Three more seasons.
This may not be Futurama to some people, But, honestly, It's as close as anything else has ever been to Futurama, I love this show.

We have one episode left to watch. We like it. The characters are getting developed to the point we care about what happens to them. Of course there are some great little gags sprinkled in everywhere. The Flying Scepter is a good one. Glad to see it has been renewed. It has a lot of potential.

It really does have a lot of potential, I could see disenchantment competing with Rick and Morty, that's saying a lot for a ten-episode run so far :)

Well, Initially, It was met with a mixed reaction, Shortly after that people began noticing a lot of Futurama easter eggs in the show, This boosted it's popularity a great deal for a short time, Netflix even renewed it for I think at least two more seasons, But, I think a lot of people are like me when it comes to this show, It entertained people at a time, But when you think back on the show after some time, The characters, The plot, The animation, The comedy, The only thing that carries the show at all is its Quirky Nihilistic humor.

Comedy is strange, What was funny yesterday, Maybe played out and old tomorrow.

I look back on the series, And It's just not as funny the second time through.

Ehh, I suppose nothing really is though. I just think the Whole Comedic Sub Genre of Nihilist dark humor, Like Futurama, even like Rick and Morty, isn't as funny Today, As it was once. Because people wake up into today's troubled world and that nihilism, That Darkness, it's everywhere these days, It's not so unique or funny anymore.

Well I just finished viewing episode five of season one and i liked it, of course similar taste of humour as futurama but tailored to reflect the past...The skit about two-thirds into the episode regarding Hansel and Gretel and the spin they did on that was great and funny...

Some comedy can still hold great reply value even if the reaction to the humour isn't as it once was, it doesn't lose its quality and that's key imo...
