Suicide bombers kill 207 in Easter terror attack on Christians in Sri Lanka: Terrorists hit churches and hotels leaving Americans and Brits among dead as TV chef and daughter are named as victims

At least 207 people have died after suspected suicide bombers blew up churches and five-star hotels in an Easter Sunday terror attack in Sri Lanka. The eight blasts today ripped through landmarks in Colombo and on Sri Lanka's east coast, targeting Christians, hotel guests and foreign tourists and leaving at least 450 people wounded. Six bombs went off in quick succession before another two blasts two hours later in Sri Lanka's worst violence since the end of its decades-long civil war in 2009.

The victims include at least 35 foreigners, believed to include Britons and Americans as well as nationals of Turkey, China, Portugal and the Netherlands. As details of the horror emerged today, TV chef Shantha Mayadunne and her London-based daughter Nisanga were among the first victims named. Meanwhile a manager at the Cinnamon Grand hotel in Colombo said the attacker had set off the horrific explosion in a packed restaurant at 8.30am after waiting in a queue for a breakfast buffet.

The buffet bomber: Terrorist waited in line for breakfast at five star hotel and then blew himself up at the front in attacks that have killed 35 foreigners

A manager at the Cinnamon Grand hotel in Colombo said the attacker had set off the horrific explosion in a packed restaurant at 8.30am. The bomber had checked in under a false address, claiming he was in the city on business, before unleashing terror on one of the hotel's busiest days of the year. At least 207 people have died in the eight Easter Sunday blasts, including Brits, Americans and Dutch nationals. The bombings targeted hotels such as the Cinnamon Grand which are popular with foreign visitors, as well as St Anthony's Shrine in Colombo, also frequented by tourists.

I recall hearing a story about the Dulce base. If you say or even think the name of Jesus the reptilians will throw you out of the facility. It appears they've taken that logic and are actively overlaying it onto the entire surface of the planet. Another facet is prayer could possibly disrupt their AI war gaming the planet. A variable they want to eliminate.

The pattern continues.
Churchgoers tackle woman after she walked into San Diego church with a GUN | Daily Mail Online
A woman identified as Anna Conkey, 31, reportedly stormed into the church
  • Parishioners at the Tsidkenu Church in San Diego then tackled her to the ground
  • She was reportedly carrying a handgun and her ten-month-old son in her arms
  • Conkey has ranted on YouTube and Facebook that Jesus is a 'liar'
That's not the weapon she had. According to the article she was carrying an unloaded handgun.

There were warning signs which is a reoccurring theme. I'm having problems with the link. The story can be found on the BBC home page.

Attacks on churches and hotels killed 290 people and wounded nearly 500.

Security agencies had been watching the National Thowheed Jamath jihadist group, reports said, and had notified police about a possible attack.

But the prime minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe, and the cabinet were not informed, ministers said.

Massive Intelligence Failure
Sri Lanka Attacks Live Updates: Pointing a Finger at a Terrorist Group, and at One Another
Sri Lanka’s security forces were warned at least 10 days before the bombings that the militant group was planning attacks against churches, but apparently took no action against it, indicating a catastrophic intelligence failure.

Casualties up to 290
Death toll from Easter Sunday terror attacks in Sri Lanka nears 300
At least nine bombs that tore through churches and hotels in three Sri Lankan cities on Easter Sunday. The death toll had risen to at least 290, with more than 500 others wounded, by Monday morning. Defense Minister Ruwan Wijewardene described the coordinated blasts as a terrorist attack by religious extremists.

Coordinated Attacks
What’s Behind the Terrorist Attacks in Sri Lanka?
According to media reports, there were eight blasts in all, including at churches in Negombo and Kochchikade in the country’s west, and Batticaloa in the east. Three luxury hotels in the capital Colombo were also targeted. Sri Lanka’s government says the attacks were carried out by National Thowheeth Jamaath, a little-known radical Islamist group.

The targets

Sri Lanka has more than 22 million inhabitants. Of these, about three-fourths are ethnic Sinhalese, most of whom are Buddhist. About a sixth of Sri Lankans identify as Tamil—either of Sri Lankan or Indian descent—and are mostly Hindu. About 10 percent of the population is Muslim, and 7 percent Christian—a group that includes both Tamil and Sinhalese.
Given that three of the blasts occurred at churches, timed for Easter services, at least part of the attack was aimed at the country’s more than 1.5 million Christians. The almost simultaneous blasts left no time to warn other churchgoers.
Reuters cites the National Christian Evangelical Alliance of Sri Lanka, which represents more than 200 churches and Christian organizations, as having recorded 86 incidents of discrimination, threats, and violence against Christians last year.
The other main targets seem to be people who would frequent Colombo’s hotels—usually a mix of tourists, business people, and wealthy locals. At least 30 of the dead are believed to be foreigners.

A security spokesman said there was an explosion in the town of Ampara Sainthamaruthu near Batticaloa as specialist officers raided suspected terrorists linked to the Easter Sunday bombings (pictured: bomb-making supplies, left and top right; and an ISIS flag, bottom right, as part of a suicide factory uncovered earlier on Friday evening in the Samanthurai area). No details of casualties were immediately available. Several of the terror suspects blew themselves up as the authorities opened fire, according to local media. Earlier on Friday evening, a large haul of bomb-making equipment was uncovered at a raid in the Samanthurai area - around five miles away from the scene of the shootout.

For some reason this is hardly being reported outside the UK.

For some reason this is hardly being reported outside the UK.

The media has been systematically downplaying or outright not reporting on terror attacks committed by muslims, but if a non muslim commits an act of terror or violence they are all over it...Even that pathetically stupid Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who relentlessly beat the drums about the New Zealand attack against muslims, has not once made any comment in regard to this Sri Lankan terrorist attack against Christians, she has completely ignored this incident...
