Infrared footage shows eerie shadows moving in a museum after dark... and experts are baffled by the 'mysterious phenomenon'

A Chinese museum claimed that eerie shadows had appeared inside one of their exhibition halls since the beginning of January.

The mysterious shadows appeared as if they had come out from the ground as well as the bronze exhibits, according to the curator and his staff.

A local university professor said there are no clear explanations of what the shadows were or how it appeared under infrared cameras.

The usual sightings were reported to have occurred in The Laowantong Museum in Futian district of Shenzhen, southeast China.

Chen Haowen, curator of the museum, told Shenzhen News that they had changed all the surveillance security cameras to infrared cameras since the shadows were first spotted.

'The shadows, lines and fluffs only appear in the bronze exhibition area and it cannot be seen with our bare eyes. It's become more obvious after we change the cameras,' said Chen.

Whatever they are they are very close to the camera. So how new is this museum?....the report is somewhat lacking.

I wonder if they put in a new ceiling fan in that section of the exhibit.

I'm sure they've gone into the chamber with a camera. I heard there's a miniature reproduction of the area with rivers of mercury.

Looks like dust to me.
Yeah, dust is a better one. It certainly would not be snowing in there.
I said that because we were getting a good snow fall some minutes ago.
Could be the camera is generating heat which can induce air current and cause dust to fall if there is dust on the camers or in the ceiling tiles near it.

I was thinking there is some sort of heating vent just to the left of the camera.

I don't suppose we could be lucky enough to have a picture of the camera?
