I was a little shocked by that myself. Why would someone pay $30,000 for a concert ticket?

Yeah to me that's insane, no one is worth paying 30,000 dollars to watch singing...I wonder how close to the stage those tickets were? Nosebleed tickets or front row? Lol...

Where ever they were the person who bought them must have money to burn.

Irate fans who spent thousands to see Adele in Las Vegas demand star pays for flights and hotels after finding out MID-AIR that she has axed her entire residency just 24 HOURS before first gig

MailOnline has been inundated with emails from people who had already jetted into Sin City from across the US, Canada , Mexico, the UK and Europe to see the star, who is making a record-breaking $685,000 (£500,000) per gig before merchandising. Adele announced the decision in a tearful Instagram video, apologising and telling fans: 'I'm so upset and I'm really embarrassed. We've been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid. Half my crew and team are [ill] with Covid and still are, and it's been impossible to finish the show'. PR guru Mark Borkowski told MailOnline the last minute cancellation was a 'disaster' for the singer, saying: 'It's not great for Adele and I think she knows it', adding: 'Her response seemed very authentic. I guess it's down to whether the fans believe her word'. He said Adele will have to do something to appease her angry supporters, and fast. Ticketmaster are urging people to 'hang on to their tickets' for new dates predicted to be between April and June - but says they will give refunds. But many are already in Vegas having travelled thousands of miles to be there for the opening night, demanding the singer covers the thousands of dollars they have already laid out on flights and hotel rooms they have no hope of getting refunds for, A British fan called David posted a photo from outside Caesars Palace just after the shows were axed. He tweeted: 'Christmas gift gone pear shaped as my wife and daughter are on the way to meet me in Vegas and unfortunately Adele has had to cancel'. Gillian Rowland-Kain, 32, was already on her flight to Las Vegas from New York with her twin sister (together left) when she found out about the cancellation via social media. The attorney from Brooklyn said: 'I was furious that Adele waited so last minute to make this call. Her lack of notice is astounding. I'm angry and frustrated'.

Hahaha Where's all the love? They were willing to pay $30,000 to see her.

What caused Adele's meltdown in Vegas? Amid unsold tickets, cancellations and Covid excuses that don't stack up, it's no wonder fans who spent thousands flying to the US only for her to pull out at the last minute aren't going easy on her

(Excerpt)

The source adds: 'Nobody cancels the day before. You have more than 24 hours' notice of Covid problems. I hear that Adele never wanted to do the Vegas shows in the first place.

'I very much doubt that they will be rescheduled; I don't think she's up to performing at this level for this amount of dates.

'She is a perfectionist and you can see that in the way she puts her albums back and back until she is happy with them. But more than that she is a recording artist and not a performer and she should never have agreed to these shows in the first place.

'She suffers really badly from stage fright, she hates being on the stage. For her to commit to going on stage every weekend for three months is madness. The point was always going to come when she would decide she wasn't going to do it.'

Sorry, but I just can't take another chapter of self-obsessed Adele's never-ending Sob Saga

Screenshot_20220122-102018.jpg

Adele (pictured left in an astonishing appearance on Instagram this week) has made millions from mining the trauma of her 'journey' from humble beginnings to millionaire single mum - but I (and many disgruntled fans) have decided to get off the bus after the latest catastrophic episode in her Saga of Sobs. The tortured diva made an astonishing appearance on Instagram this week, sobbing her heart out as she announced her much-anticipated 24-night residency in Las Vegas was not happening. It was Kaput. Cancelled. Shelved until someone can sort it all out. Sod your plans, she's in emotional meltdown.

Is Adele music's most unreliable diva? Furious New York fan says star has canceled on her TWICE - in London and Vegas after she'd traveled to both cities: Fury as singer worth $220m stays silent on refunds for devastated fans

Screenshot_20220123-165531.jpg

A furious fan who traveled to Las Vegas to see Adele over the weekend says this is the second time the singer has cancelled a show on her, after the superstar called off a 2017 concert in London citing damaged vocal cords. Eleni Sabracos found herself with a gap in her itinerary in Las Vegas after the English crooner abruptly cancelled her residency with less than 24 hours' notice, tearfully telling fans that the show isn't ready because 'half' of her team has COVID-19. 'I am in Vegas right now and Adele cancelled her show, again!' Sabracos fumed in a TikTok video after the star's announcement. 'Why!?' It turns out this isn't the first time the singer has left Sabracos in a foreign city with no plans. The New York City-based TV producer previously flew to London for a show at Wembley Stadium that was later cancelled. In all, Sabracos has traveled a total of 11,420 mi to see the Grammy-winning balladeer - all for naught. On Friday, the jilted fan showed was given a chance to FaceTime with Adele, 33, at Caesars Palace, where the singer promised to invite her onstage at her next show.

Adele cancelled her Las Vegas residency after furious rant over swimming pool stunt

The Londoner, 33, tearfully cancelled her three-month run of concerts at Caesars Palace last week just 24 hours before they were due to begin. A US source told how a plan had been hatched for her to be hoisted up in a pool during her Weekends With Adele shows, which had seen tickets selling for up to £9,000 a ticket.

But they said: “When she saw the finished design, she refused to take part.” The source continued: “Adele described the pool as a ‘baggy old pond’ and refused, point blank, to stand in the middle of it. The intention was to fill it with water on the set as she was lifted up on a crane-type mechanism, creating the illusion she was floating on water.”

Fans face the prospect of waiting until next year for the gigs to be rescheduled as other stars including Rod Stewart and Sting are booked at the same venue.

However it is feared they may never happen, like her two cancelled Wembley gigs in 2017 which have yet to be rearranged after she damaged vocal cords. Meanwhile, Adele is to make her first public appearance since axing the shows — at the Brit Awards next month.

She will feature in the ceremony on February 8 via video link-up, which is a blow to Brits bosses who hoped she would attend in person.

When I was 4 years old, my mom (24) my brothers and my mom's latest date, went to the Toronto Exhibition. I don't remember what time it was but it had to be late because the Ex is in July/August which means the sun is up until after 10pm. It was dark out and I got separated from my family. I was standing by a big garbage can, crying and frantically searching the crowd for a familiar face, when a guard came up to me. He asked if I was lost and he said he would help me find my mom. He took me to a building. I was sitting in a room with a lady security guard, who had given me a fist full of candy to munch on and she was telling me to stop crying cause we would find my mom.
There was only the guard that brought me in, the lady guard and myself in the building. I saw my mom walk in the building and go up to the counter. I told the lady guard that was my mom. She said, "No, it isn't" I said, "Yes it is" We went back and forth with that about 3 times. Then I noticed the male guard shaking his head "No". My mom turned away and started walking toward the exit. The lady guard was holding on to me real tight. When my mom put her hand on the exit door, I screamed as loud as I could, "MOM!" A mom can hear her own kids voice in any amount of crowd or noise. She saw me and came and got me. When we got outside, I tried to tell her about it but she wasn't interested in what I had to say.

Oscars CANCELS films that aren't woke enough: Academy to disqualify movies that don't have enough black, gay and disabled actors by 2024 - move would have removed from contention last year's winner Nomadland and major 2022 nominees

The Academy passed its Aperture 2025 initiative in 2020, five years after the #OscarsSoWhite controversy in order to promote more diversity in the industry, but the move has been underfired ever since. The initiative, which will take effect in 2025, was spearheaded by black filmmaker Ava DuVernay (inset) and developed by the academy to set criteria that included diversifying nearly every aspect of a movie, from cast and crew to production, marketing, financing, distribution and even internships by 30 percent. Academy President David Rubin (right) celebrated the initiative and said films needed to reflect their audience. One industry insider, speaking under the condition of anonymity out of fear of losing work, told LA Magazine that the policies set to take effect in 2024 are too far reaching. 'It's filmmaking by affirmative action,' the insider said. 'It's totally daft, and it can't be done.'

So the entire history and biography genres will have to artificially deviate from truth to deserve the award.
No matter, though; they're just devaluing the Oscar more than ever, just like the Nobel Peace Prize has become virtually worthless.
