:laugh8::laugh8::laugh8: Howard Stern is a joke...

Howard Stern latest to equate Will Smith with Donald Trump, suggests they 'are the same guy'

Radio host Howard Stern became the latest media figure to compare actor Will Smith to former president Donald Trump, arguing on his radio show Monday that they were "the same guy" after Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock across the face during Sunday's Oscars.

"Not one person came out, because he’s Will Smith, this is how Trump gets away with sh--. Will Smith and Trump are the same guy. He decided he’s going to take matters into his own hands. At a time when the world is at war. Bad timing, man. Calm your f---ing ass down," Stern said during his show on SiriusXM.

Will Smith.

My last supervisor was a black woman - I'm sure she still is. Worked with her for years. Come to think of it, she probably has alopecia. She's as bald as I am. Nobody had a better sense of humor over it than her. She had different wigs for different purposes - if we were headed for a tough meeting I'd tell her to put on her Serious Hair or sometimes just go full Stymie. I'd tell her there's nothing more pathetic than a bald man in the rain, which is why I like to wear ball caps. She had no lack of commentary towards me, I just can't recall the specifics at the moment. Absolutely zero offense, it was just the crap that people who know each other for years say without the slightest malice. Believe me, if she took offense there would have been no doubt. Not one to provoke for sure.

So quick to take offense. So quick to make it a racial issue. What a bunch of self important nonsense. As far as I know it's still perfectly fine to mock men over baldness but, what time is it now? Maybe by later today it won't be.

Not an original thought, but what if The Rock had made that comment? You think Smith would have bitch slapped him? Of course not, nobody in their right mind would. He's a bully.

I'd agree with all of that..... if 'old cynic me' didn't believe that no one was ever really offended, because it was just a crafted publicity stunt that has achieved the world-wide notoriety intended. ... And am I the only one that thinks that the actual slap was no more than a movie 'stunt slap', where there's a lot more noise than contact. Chris leans in for Will to 'just catch his jaw with the ends of his fingers? ... And the fake tears that were squeezed out during his "i'm fed up with taking all the abuse that us poor zillionaire black superstars are constantly subjected to!" just made me laugh a little.

Cheers.

Cheers.

Dunno about that. The Academy is going into it's sweat lodge until mid-April so I guess the **** will come out in the wash.

Woke columnists claim Will Smith Oscars slap exemplifies 'anti-Black' system

'This is about a much larger systemic issue rooted in white supremacist culture'

(Excerpt)

On Monday, Forbes published an article by Janice Gassam Asare arguing the scandal surrounding the moment is primarily perpetuated by "the white gaze."

"There is a segment of the population that believes that although Smith was justified in his anger, he shouldn’t have behaved that way in front of ‘mixed company.’ Many of us are socialized to believe that there is no time and place for Black anger or emotion, especially not in front of non-Black people," Asare wrote. "By saying that Will Smith shouldn’t have reacted that way because of how he will be perceived by the largely white audience is the perpetuation of the white gaze."

Forbes doubled down on this perspective with another piece on Tuesday titled "While Talking About Will Smith’s Behavior, Don’t Forget To Also Talk About The System That Helped Create It." Contributor Maia Niguel Hoskin wrote that concern over Smith’s behavior is a "systemic issue" rooted in white supremacy.

"This is about a much larger systemic issue rooted in white supremacist culture designed to police the behavior of Blacks amongst the who’s who in Hollywood and beyond. Respectability politics suggest that equity and fair treatment require that Black people — both inside and outside of Hollywood — conduct ourselves in a manner deemed acceptable to whites," Hoskin wrote.

Bruce Willis: Razzies cancel 'worst performance' award over health issues

Organisers of the Razzie Awards, which are given to the year's worst films, have cancelled the recent "honour" they gave to actor Bruce Willis after the announcement about his health issues.

On Wednesday, his family revealed he has the brain disorder aphasia.

Ceremony bosses said it was "not appropriate" to award prizes to those whose medical conditions may have affected their performances.

Willis was given his own category for worst Bruce Willis performance in 2021.

Will Smith Netflix Film ‘Fast and Loose’ on Back Burner After Oscars – Billboard
The week before the Oscar ceremony, director David Leitch — in a stroke of unintentional good timing — withdrew as the director of a planned Netflix movie Fast and Loose, starring Will Smith. Instead, he moved onto Fall Guy, starring Ryan Gosling, for Universal, which is supposed to start production in August.

A source says Netflix was competing with Universal to be the next project for Leitch, but Universal pulled ahead. According to sources, Netflix put out an urgent call for another director to take over a project featuring the star who was heavily favored to win best actor at the Oscars. But soon after Smith’s attack on Chris Rock on the Oscars stage, Netflix quietly moved the project to the back burner.

Disney shareholder tells CEO Chapek to stop wasting money on 'political crusades'

A Disney shareholder is speaking out against the company's involvement in Florida politics by actively opposing the Republican-led "Parental Rights in Education" bill championed by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Ray Keating, an economist and editor of DisneyBizJournal.com, said when companies dive into politics, it rarely turns out and well.
Here’s a suggestion for Disney CEO Bob Chapek: Get back to business, that is, excellence in storytelling, and stop wasting shareholder’s money on political crusades that have nothing to do with Disney’s business,
Keating told Fox News Digital.
We all have the right to have our voices heard on issues, but not on the shareholders’ dime.
Keating, who has written about how Disney's activism is bad for business, said Disney's decisions on the Florida bill has meant the company is catching heat from both sides of the political spectrum. Ever since Chapek spoke up, critics on the right have condemned Disney as being too "woke" and even talked of boycotting the resort.

Disney’s management succumbed to political pressure from activists on the Left, and now it’s getting hit from the Left and the Right,
Keating told Fox News Digital.
If I weren’t a shareholder, I’d find it amusing.
