This is a pretty good overview of Jet Li's career and what he's doing now...I was a fan years ago and have watched almost all of his movies...My favourite is Fist of Legend, an awesome movie with perfectly choreographed fighting sequences and no cgi and no wires...
I won't lie; I still love the ESPN+/Disney+/Hulu package.View attachment 14475
Disney+ is mopping the floor with Netflix right now, thanks to ‘Loki’
There’s one thing that ought to jump out at you right away, when scanning a list of the most watched TV shows right now across all the major streaming platforms. It’s a lack of Netflix content.
A Wired piece published a few days ago mulled the possibility that “Netflix is losing its cool,” per the headline. Granted, that title probably sexes up the reality a bit more than necessary. But you could argue that it’s directionally accurate. Data from Reelgood, for example, shows that HBO Max, not Netflix, had the biggest movie releases in the first half of of the year (with Mortal Kombat and Godzilla vs. Kong). Netflix, meanwhile, has produced some expensive duds that flopped hard, like Jupiter’s Legacy. At the same time, even though Netflix’s growth domestically seems to have stalled out, there’s no streaming rival at the moment that can match its global scale. Netflix is a monster on a global basis, with most of the subscriber base expansion happening outside the US. It’s spending billions on content in far-flung markets like South Korea. And it can practically mint universal hits with foreign-language content that it pushes out to subscribers around the world. Including everything from Lupin to this month’s second season of Sky Rojo.
Most watched TV shows (June 30-July 6)
All that said, other streamers are nipping at the heels of Netflix when it comes to content like international fare. HBO Max, for example, is the home for one of the most sublimely perfect TV shows available right now. It’s Gomorrah, a drama from Italy about warring crime families. I stand by what I’ve written previously about it: “Once you’ve let Gomorrah take you down the dark, mean streets of Naples and Rome, and it’s introduced you to the warring crime families at the heart of the show, you’ll forget all about silly American TV fare that’s trod the same thematic road.” No silly fuggitaboutit crap. The show, mostly filmed in the Scampia neighborhood of Naples, is a much more violent, drug-fueled and Shakespearean mashup of The Sopranos, The Wire, and Game of Thrones. Just, you know, transported to modern-day Italy.
I could say a lot more about HBO Max — which, beyond an app that’s got some bells and whistles that are a little annoying, has executed pretty well overall since its launch. The same goes for Disney+, which is home once again to one of the most watched TV shows on any of the streamers right now. That’s right, the god of mischief has once again bested all of his streaming rivals, to triumph in a modern-day, Darwinian equivalent of natural selection.
That Loki tops our latest list of the most-watched streaming content is a testament to the continued power of all the intellectual property that Disney owns. Everything from Marvel to Star Wars, Pixar and more.
This tally comes, as always, from the team at streaming search engine service Reelgood. You can check out the full list below — which only includes three Netflix originals. And a fourth, Manifest, which is a now-canceled NBC series that’s found a second life on Netflix.
The balance of the list is populated by content from Disney+, HBO Max, and Apple TV+.
.
- Loki
- Rick and Morty
- Kevin Can F*** Himself
- Manifest
- Physical
- Mare of Easttown
- Sex/Life
- Sophie: A Murder in West Cork
- The Mysterious Benedict Society
- Sweet Tooth
I won't lie; I still love the ESPN+/Disney+/Hulu package.
But I have Netflix as well. Where I draw the line is narrow subscriptions like Paramount, etc.
I've cancelled Netflix a number of times, but I'm scare to screw with the package. I'm a UFC fan, and still haven't finished Smallville.I used to pay for Hulu for a while after I got tired of Netflix, then got tired of Hulu so stopped that one lol...Actually I didn't 'get tired' of either one, I go through periods of time when I don't watch much of movies or tv shows and during those periods of time is when I cancel subscriptions, only to sometimes renew them later on...

Sylvester Stallone Punches Way To KO’Ing Number One Film In Six Straight Decades
When The Suicide Squad rose to the box office charts this past weekend, I did the math. Sylvester Stallone has done something not a lot of lead actors can boast about. Stallone, who plays King Shark in the James Gunn-directed ensemble, now has had the Number One film at the box office in six consecutive decades. Stallone has had 46 film releases in that time, and 20 of them were Number One at the box office. Here are some of the films that are representative of six decades.
Here is how the decades represent themselves in Stallone’s film resume:
1970s: Rocky
1980s: Rocky, Rambo First Blood
1990s: Cliffhanger
2000s: Driven
2010s: The Expendables
2020s: The Suicide Squad

I hope his body can handle it.View attachment 15097
William Shatner to Fly on Next Blue Origin Rocket Launch into Space
Star Trek's famed Captain Kirk will soon venture into space for real as iconic actor William Shatner will join the crew of the second Blue Origin launch scheduled for next week. Rumors that the legendary entertainer would be a participant in the launch had been circulating for the last few weeks and his inclusion in the endeavor was finally made official on Monday. In a statement issued by Blue Origin, Shatner marveled that "I've heard about space for a long time now. I'm taking the opportunity to see it for myself. What a miracle." Remarkably, the actor will actually wind up making history with the launch, set for October 12th, by becoming the oldest person ever to venture into space at a staggering 90 years old.
The pending rocket launch is actually not the first time that Shatner has been attached to a private space company as the BBC reports that, around a decade ago, the actor had been in discussions with Virgin Galactic to participate in one of their launches. However, he said, talks fell apart when company founder Sir Richard Branson wanted the Hollywood star to fund his own flight. "He wanted me to go up and pay for it," Shatner said in 2011 interview, "and I said: 'Hey, you pay me and I'll go up. I'll risk my life for a large sum of money.' But he didn't pick me up on my offer." Fortunately, it would appear that Blue Origin is footing the bill for next week's flight which will undoubtedly attract considerable attention as legions of Star Trek fans watch the beloved Enterprise captain make history.
