FDA found weedkiller in nearly ALL foods tested and hid the results

Herbicides for weed and control are necessary. It's also not possible to produce as much food currently without them. Monsanto's business practices are terrible though and that's another story altogether.

Plow the weeds under instead of instant kill spraying...

All that does is spread the seeds and it also disturbs soil quality. Farms stick to a minimum till process now due to the dust bowl.

So instead of tilling they pump poisons into the ground, makes sense...:huh8:

It's not in the ground. It is on the surface of the soil and on the leaves. Glyphosate prevents respiration and suffocates the plant.

Then the plants die and go into the ground with all the poison...

Not all of it lands on the plants.....soils in many places are easily contaminated. Since many weed killers are not soluble they stay there for quite some time.

Also the poison gets sprayed on insects that are on the plants and they digest it killing them off...These could be one of the reasons for our loss of bees...

Jury awards $289M to man who blames Roundup for cancer

I'm all against Monsanto's shady business practices, however on surace such large awards seem excessive. But unless it hurts them financially they won't do anything, so I guess then it makes sense you must give such large amounts (if they ever get awarded) otherwise nothing will happen. At the very least simple clear warnings can be made known to consumer - they fail at every step to acknowledge anything or use independent tests, but in the end the truth always comes out.

When we try to replace natural methods with artificial ones often (or closer to always) the side effects are worse than the original problem.

I have weeds growing in my sidewalk cracks. I purchased Round Up yesterday in a nifty case that pumps it out efficiently using a battery. The reason I got this is I want retrofit the case so it pumps white vinegar to use instead! However I was thinking of trying it on a small portion of my sidewalk with the most weeds growing so not to go to waste.
