I think when most people envision a nuclear war with Russia (or old Soviet Union) - they always picture the underground silo's opening up on their homeland & then firing their missiles at US targets - and vice versa. Lots of people forget or don't realize that these guys are always lurking somewhere nearby and don't even need to surface to launch their missiles.
