Fisherman Chased by Monstrous 'Mystery Creature' with Glowing Eyes

A chilling piece of footage captured by a fisherman in Brazil shows his boat being pursued by a rather sizeable 'mystery creature' sporting an ominous set of glowing eyes. The eerie scene reportedly unfolded earlier this month in the waters off the coast of the country's southernmost state, Rio Grande do Sul. In the video, the fisherman's boat can be seen cruising away from a city skyline at night when suddenly a large dark form with glowing eyes emerges from the water and gives chase to the vessel.

Over the course of the next several seconds, the aquatic beast pursues the boat, bobbing up and down in the water and getting perilously close on a few occasions. Posting the video online, the witness simply captioned the footage "wanted to attack me" without any indication of what the menacing 'monster' might have been. While some viewers have suggested that the creature was simply a harmless seal, the fisherman managed to keep the animal at bay and apparently never discovered what was chasing him.

The interwebs tell me that sea lions and seals are not unknown off Brazil. That's what it looked like to me.

Its head appears to be quite large for a seal, but the perspective makes it difficult to determine...I wondered if it could be a deep sea creature that we don't usually see close to the surface, there's been many reports of various deep sea animals sighted or caught over the last few years...
