We finally have sunshine and it is about 80 degrees outside. I expect we will get temps back in the high 90's in a couple of days. Still humid but below 35%.

I don't think it's a coincidence Elsa is an anagram for Seal. Maybe the date(s) it strikes can be correlated to verses in Revelation. The word seal appears 118 times in the bible. Rose is an anagram for Eros the Greek god of love.

It was so humid this morning I thought I was back in Virginia. I had to run over to my friend's house at 6:30 this morning and the condensation on the wind shield required me to keep the wipers on. That is very unusual. We did get a short rain last night, but for the rest of the night and this morning the water is just hanging in the air. It is not too uncomfortable because the temps are below 75 but later it will be close to 100 F.

I guess I have to be glad we don't have any fires or floods.

German villagers hope for a miracle after warnings that a dam could burst and wipe them out as floods kill more than 120, cause billions of pounds of damage - and create fatal 'tsunami' waves in Belgium

Four and a half thousand people have been told to flee three villages in the Euskirchen region of Germany amid warnings a nearby dam could collapse at any moment (pictured top, the reservoir, the area it could flood, and the damaged dam, bottom right inset). Engineers warned a huge amount of pressure is building up behind the dam after three months-worth of rain fell earlier this week, and its drainage system became blocked by debris such as uprooted trees and rubble from homes destroyed in the subsequent flooding.

The death toll from the floods - which also badly affected Belgium and the Netherlands - has now topped 120 with 106 of them in Germany alone amid fears that toll could rise dramatically with more than 1,000 still missing (pictured bottom, the flood damage in Germany). Another 23 are dead in Belgium after 'tsunami-like' flooding hit Liege and Verviers, causing rivers to break their banks. Such is the scale of the human tragedy the economic cost has barely begun to be calculated, though one German official said bluntly on Friday that the final bill will certainly be in the 'billions'.
